does the stick connect to the thottle thru ubs or is there 2 ubs connectors for it to connect to the pc?

There seperate identities they both need usb ports, One issue if you have a normal joystick you have to unlplug them, it interferes with the stick.,

does this unit need 2 usb ports or just one usb port to work both thottle and stick?

You will need 2 USB ports. Although I have heard you can use an inexpensive 4 port usb hub to bring that down to 1 USB port required on your PC. personally haven't tried it though. So I’m not 100%.
