Can I hang this phone on the wall?

Yes. Both the handset charging stations and the base station have mounting holes on the back to slot over screws set into the wall. You will have to provide the screws yourself, though.

The base does not appear to me to have a headset jack, but it does have a nice speaker phone. All of the hand held cordless units do have a headset jack though....

Yes. It can also be disabled for either the handsets or the base unit independently. Go into the main menu, select "initial setting," then "talking caller ID."

is this compatible with a person who wears hearing aids?

I really have no idea what the requirements of a person with a hearing aid would be for phones such as this one. I can say that they are very comfortable for me (who has slight hearing loss at certain frequencies) and I've noticed zero outside interference with the phones signal. No crosstalk or background radio noises are apparent at all and we live within 1.5 miles of the T.F. Green airport in RI.
The volume adjustment in the handsets works very well, even when  the speakerphone option is being used. We're 100% satisfied with this phone.

Can unit be expanded to 6 cordless phones?

I haven't tried this myself, but the manual for my 4773 (KXTG4771-MUL.pdf, available online) says up to 6 handsets can be registered with the base unit.

Can you make the talking caller ID not talk but only show the information on the screen?

Yes. Enter the main menu, select "initial setting," then "talking caller ID." There'll be two entries there, "handset" and "base unit," so you can toggle talking CID for them separately. Hope that helps!

I need additional handsets. I see a TGA 1015 TGA 939T and TGA 660 B Will any of these work? One is much more expensive than the other.
