Pros: It worked right out of the box on a fresh Ubuntu install with no Drivers needed!

Pros: Came in the mail pretty fast with UPS 3 business day shipping. Plug and Play for Ubuntu 11.04. Fast speed. Connected to my Linksys router seconds after plugging in.

Overall Review: I have been searching for a wireless adapter for a while and was kind of skeptical about buying a product that was so cheap. I have only had the item for less than an hour so we will see if I drop connection any time soon. I literally did not even need the install disk. I plugged in to my USB port and seconds later it connected to my wireless router and now I am writing this review.

Pros: First of all patriot brand, showed up in two days with new eggs free shipping. Popped out my old cisco linksys wireless g usb adapter and put this in its place and wah-lah, instant plug and play with Ubuntu 10.10. Then again the site describes it as working with any distro kernel 2.6 or later. Reports 82% connectivity to my Netgear WNR 2000 n router through the Wicd network manager. cool little green light built in indicating user activity. Overall a refreshing experience compared to the rosewill N adapter i bought a little while back at the same pricepoint, which also claimed it was linux compatible but was a far cry from plug-n-play. Still havent got that one to work with anything but my puppy linux distros. Overall this adapter seems like a solid buy so far, will report back if i am later dissapointed

Pros: Finally - a wireless modem that is actually plug-and-play on UBUNTU 2011.10. I simply plugged it into my desktop (with the ethernet cable disconnected) and then turned on the desktop. I then L-clicked on the wireless symbol at the top left corner of the screen (looks like a funnel or a fan.) After filling in the SSID and security data for the wireless it was a quick and simple connect. I am certain that this was designed so that even a caveman could install it.

Cons: There is a dust-cap to protect the USB port but after removing it, there is no way to keep it with the modem (like for example, it has no cord to attach it, it does not fit snugly on the opposite end of the modem, etc)

Pros: Plug and Play with Ubuntu (natty)

Overall Review: This is the second wireless adapter I bought for a linux machine I built my gf. I made the mistake of not reading the details on the first one carefully and realizing Id have to go through significant hassle to install the drivers. so i scrapped that plan and got this. it was easy enough for my gf to do herself which is saying something. plugged it in and it just worked.

Pros: It was plug and play in Ubuntu 11.04. Hasn't lost a connection to my router since I started using it constantly 3 days ago. Works on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.04.

Cons: NONE

Overall Review: I bought this for the Linux support. The driver for this is included in the install of Ubuntu 11.04, so all I had to do was plug it into my USB port. It comes with a disk of drivers if you need them.

Pros: The price was right. Software installation on Windows 7 was quick and painless. Works beautifully. Nice and fast.

Cons: The wireless configuration utility pops up every time I restart the computer and I can't find a way to turn that off. Kind of annoying. No place to keep the cap. I think I already lost it. Not a big deal since I will probably only use it on one computer.

Pros: Price, Speed of Delivery, Install instructions written/edited by somebody who actually speaks English

Cons: Doesn't work on Windows Server 2008

Overall Review: I have a 2008 Server box that I had to move to a spot away from a LAN line. Thought I'd try the easy way out first by using a wi-fi USB stick. The box will only be there for a few weeks so I don't want to pull Cat-6. Unfortunately this thing does not work on 2008 Server. The wi-fi adapter does not show up in the Network Adapters and there is no visible response when clicking on any of the .exe files in the cr**py admin tool. I trust Patriot for memory & USB sticks - and this is the first time I've ever written about a cr**py Patriot product.
