The BDR-XD04 slim portable USB 2.0 BD/DVD/CD burner is the next generation Blu-ray Disc burner from Pioneer. This Drive allows users to watch standard and 3D blu-ray disc titles, author high-definition Blu-ray Disc content while also delivering the ability for high-capacity data storage with the included cyberlink software. The drive supports the bdxl format. Bdxl supports 128gb quad layer and 100gb triple layer blu-ray media. The bdr-XD04 can read BDROM discs, read/write to single, dual, triple, & quad layer BD-R discs, and is backward compatible to read and write to dvd and cd formats. The BDR-XD04 drive is USB bus powered so no ac adapter is necessary.

Sweet BD-R drive

Pros: Burns every cheap disk I throw at it (SmartBlu, OQ). Runs off USB power, no extra power adapter needed. Burns DL 50GB discs at 6X.

Cons: Needs 2 USB ports to burn, but just 1 to play/read.

Other Thoughts: If you hate having a bunch of power adapters to haul around with you laptop, this is your drive. Haven't tried any BDXL discs yet.
