This will work with a Plantronics headset base that has a handset lifter port (3.5mm TRS). If you're not using a lifter, just plug this into the handset lifter port on the headset base. If you are using a lifter, plug the lifter into the base, and the off-hook indicator light into the lifter. I've used this off-hook indicator light both ways, and it works. I've also used a standard 3.5mm TRS (i.e. stereo) male/female extension cable to extend the lifter from the base, and the light from the lifter, which also works just fine. I used 15 foot extension cables, but longer may also work. Lastly, this indicator pulses blue when your headset is active with the phone.
