Plugable's DisplayPort to HDMI passive adapter allows you to connect from a Dual-Mode DisplayPort (DP++) output on your laptop, desktop, or tablet to virtually any HDMI-enabled display. Passive adapters rely on the Dual-Mode DisplayPort output (DP++) on your system in order to pass video and audio signals to an HDMI display. Adapter supports resolutions up to 3840x2160 @ 30Hz (4K) refresh rate and 2560x1440p and 1080P resolutions and below @ 60Hz. Please note: In order to display a 4K resolution the host's graphics processor and attached display need to be 4K capable.
Compatibility - Plugable's DPM-HDMIF adapter is compatible with systems that have a Dual-Mode DisplayPort output port (DP++) on a laptop or desktop PC to add an HDMI capable monitor, TV or projector. This adapter is not bi-directional and will not convert in the other direction. Dual-Mode DisplayPort source ports are often noted with a DP++ symbol next to the port itself. If unsure if your DisplayPort is DP++ capable, please check with your system manufacturer. Not for use with AMD Eyefinity, NVIDIA Surround, or Microsoft Surface Docking Stations.
