Plugable's Mini DisplayPort to VGA passive adapter allows you to connect from a Dual-Mode Mini DisplayPort (DP++)/Thunderbolt 2 output on your Mac or PC laptop, desktop, or tablet to virtually any VGA-enabled display. Passive adapters rely on the DisplayPort source output supporting DP++ in order to pass video signals to a VGA display. Our adapter supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz refresh rate.
Compatibility
Plugable's MDPM-VGAF adapter is compatible with systems that have a Dual-Mode Mini DisplayPort output port (DP++)/Thunderbolt 2 on a PC or Apple laptop, desktop or tablet to add a VGA capable monitor, TV or projector. This adapter is not bi-directional and will not convert in the other direction.
Note: Dual-Mode DisplayPort source ports are often noted with a DP++ symbol next to the port itself. If unsure if your DisplayPort is DP++ capable, please check with your system manufacturer.
