Is everyone having issues with the CS2030 running so hot?  If so is the only solution to place a fan in the case to cool it?

A fan would not have brought it down to an acceptable temperature, I was afraid the heat would damage the drive.  My case probably was not typical, PNY's tech support said mine was defective and should not run nearly as hot.  I returned it rather than take another chance, but another would probably be fine.  May be worth a try at this price.  Too bad there is no heat sink.

How do I know if I can put this SSD in my Acer Aspire E 15 E5 575G 52RJ ???

According to the specs that laptop contains a 1TB 5400 RPM SATA drive.  You have several options to improve your storage device speed, but this NVMe drive is not one of them.  If you want to get the fastest option for your machine then shop around for a 2.5 inch SATA III SATA drive.  There are a lot of 500 - 512 Gig drives available that hit 520 MBps to 540 MBps that are reasonably priced.  The drive you have is probably giving you around 70 to 90 MBps so a 2.5" SSD drive will seem amazingly fast.
