how do you format this drive?

It is very simple to format. Put the drive in the machine and a box will pop up. Open the drive and go to computer where all of the drives are listed. Locate the drive letter assigned to the drive. Then right click on it and a list of functions will pop up, format being one of them, then click on format and then OK and then it will format. Then you are done.

How many photos will the drive hold?

32 gigabytes of photos, depending on the sizes of your photos you can do the math yourself---a DVD holds approximately 4gig and this flash drive is like having 8 DVDs inside of it so it holds a tremendous amount of photos.

Will it work for xbox 360?

it works with any device that uses USB port or MICRO USB that will recognize OTG tech.
