Yes, if your phone/tablet will take the capacity. I use one in my Windows 8.1 phone without any problems, and use it for app installation and file storage to keep the device's internal storage clearer and more available. It'll take a lot of files, music, videos, apps and still have a lot of room available. You also won't have to worry about having uninstall apps to make room for others.
