Are the heatsinks still too large for some motherboards? Or has PNY addressed that issue?

I got them when they first came out and the heat sinks where a problem. However all I did was move you the heats sink a little. You have to remember heats sinks on ram especially ram running under 2000 don't need heat sinks. They are just for looks so you could just run them with it totally off. The ram itself is very good for the price!

What are the SPD and XMP numbers on these modules?

heatsinks were too long for my board.  they hit the slots on the motherboard and would not go all the way in.  this was a gigabyte 990fx board.  perhaps intel has slightly different memory slots?  perhaps shallower?  lol i dunno but i sent mine back even though pny makes good stuff.
