will this work with windows 7 operating system?

Almost all hard drives work across platforms (Mac/PC). You may have to format the drive for your system (like any hard drive) once you receive it.

I always format them to MS-DOS FAT, and use it on both Mac and PC systems. I mainly work off of Mac OS.

I've never had any issues with this product.

Question 2

Is this intended for a windows XP system?  I reformatted it to NTFS so that it would accept large files (over 30GB), and it takes my system about 3.5 minutes to recognize the drive.  Plugging into a Windows 7 machine gets effectively immediate recognition and normal operation.

The USB flash drive has worked fine for me.  Have been using it on Windows XP and 7.  Have not used it on 8.  Only takes seconds to be ready for use.  Format was performed on an XP machine.

Is this product compatible with a Mac?

Accepted Answer

Any flashdrive can be used with a Mac or PC if you format it correctly.  The issue is that many are pre-formatted for Windows.  All you have to do is reformat in the following formats.  For OSX only, format it as "OSX Extended".  For OSX and Windows, Format it FAT32.
