There is no free evaluation or renting option. If you purchase the GPU and want to return it because it's not fast enough, there will be a restocking fee up to 15%.

Question 4

Some specs have not been consistent on all listings and reviews for the P5000. Shouldn't all P5000's manufactured by PNY have the same specs? The specs that are not consistent are whether the DP ports support up to 1.2 or up to 1.4, and whether the memory is GDDR5 or GDDR5X. Can anyone let me know?

I can say 15GB GDDR5X / 1607MHz Graphics clock. I have display port to HDMI Adaptors for my monitors. but everywhere I saw it was advertised as DP1.4 from the P4000 to GP100 on PNY or the NVIDIA site.

how fast would this graphics card render out 3D animations?

I think that answer can vary greatly depending on the software you're using and the complexity of what you're animating. We produce photometrically accurate renderings of large-scale architectural projects (such as stadiums) and needed a GPU that could handle large "scenes". We created a render server using (3) P5000s and use 3DS Max in conjunction with Nvidia's iRay software for our work. A 12GB scene takes approximately 2 hours. While not directly animation-related, I hope this helps!
