Can I return this card if it doesn't fit in my PC?

Yes, i did have to return one of these that was defective and had no problems.

If your computer has the large opening you can simply make a little piece from a small dowel or something like that to hold it in place in the slot as the larger bracket is not available even from the manufacturer.  That is what i did and it works fine.

will this video card work with a mac computer g5 quad core?

Nope. Apple's hardware is pretty locked down, you're going to have to search for cards that are explicitly compatible with your model. If you have a G5, the cards you'll be looking at are going to be old.
