A Flash is a Flash is...
Pros: It does what it's supposed to do. I'm not bothered in the least by the manual settings. It gives me more control over the end result anyway. It takes some getting used to, but after several test shots I was easily able to use the metering, make the settings and shoot. The unit doesn't seem cheaply made at all. We'll see how this thing works out with some use, but I expect with reasonable care this flash should last. The large LCD screen is a nice feature, especially for someone like me over 40 wearing glasses. It costs far less than other name brand flashes. It works great with my Nikon D5000 and is much less expensive than a Nikon flash.
Cons: It doesn't have TTL, but then for the price one can't expect such luxuries. Again, I generally prefer manual settings. The owner's manual is scant, only giving what the features are without any explanation. It's Chinese, but I'm not entirely certain that's a "con".
Overall Review: Just a great, simple camera flash with some good features.
Should just be called sans
Pros: I've bought from Newegg for years and this was my first RMA experience. Newegg handled it extremely professionally. There were no "Pros" for the player.
Cons: This was the second, and it'll be the last, SanDisk player I'll ever have. Defective right out of the box. Couldn't change the USB modes without a required firmware update, but couldn't update the firmware because the device wasn't recognized in WinXP explorer directory.
Overall Review: Not even heavy enough to make a boat anchor.
The Only Coffeemaker...
Pros: ...you'll ever need. Easy to operate. Simple directions for programmed coffee making. Great look on the counter. It does what it's supposed to do and does it well. Added benefit of having a water filter. Our previous coffeemaker carafe would spill coffee as it poured. Probably an issue with poor design of the spout. This one has no such issues, thankfully. This coffeemaker makes better tasting coffee than the last one anyway. This is a great item.
Cons: No cons that I can tell.
Overall Review: Newegg is great. Catch this one on sale.
Good Product
Pros: The unit isn't as fancy as some more expensive models, but it is simple elegance and performs well. Installation was easy with the provided hardware, and easily fits into standard sized 30" over range cavity. Purchased through Newegg as their price was over $10 cheaper than local retail, not to mention savings on tax, with free shipping. Unit was packaged sufficiently to avoid possible damage in shipping. Stainless finish matches well with existing kitchen decor. Highly recommended, particularly considering the price.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: It mayn't be like some super wiz-bang over range hoods, but this one really is a quality hood considering the price.
Reasonably basic machine
Pros: We've had it more than a year and it still works reasonably well. Took it on a vacation trip and it's normally used for light business, basic web surfing and for family picture taking. It does what it does well and that's all we've wanted.
Cons: If you're a gamer you really don't want anything like this. The touch pad is flaky, but then I never cared much for laptop pads anyway and use a wireless external mouse. Leaning palm weight, particularly on the left side, on the panel beside the keyboard causes the cursor to skip, but that's easily tolerated and accounted for.
Overall Review: All in all it's very worth the price and Newegg was fantastic.
Great Laptop
Pros: This is a gem of a deal. Ample USB ports, CPU speed, and hard drive space. For being a refurb it came out of the box looking like new, although I could tell it had been through Best Buy with some of their crapware. It ran Quickbooks like a breeze. Wifi setup was easy.
Cons: Crapware, but once that was dumped and anti-virus and anti-spyware loaded it felt like home. Dump the trial version of MS Office and get Oracle's Open Office. Much better.
Overall Review: I don't understand what issue another reviewer is having claiming theirs is only WEP wifi encrypted. I use WPA/WPA2 and had not a problem setting it up. I also had to set up wifi on a printer (Epson Workforce 610) at the same time and got the laptop to print wirelessly with no problem. Combine this with NewEgg's extended 1yr warranty and you can't go wrong.
Good Seller
Item as described, well packaged and efficient shipping. Thanks!
Great Seller
Ordered a Bose Soundlink and requested they upgrade the shipping to 3 day FedEx via a phone conversation. Sales rep took care of everything. Great service, great customer support.
