Unusable touchpad
Pros: *Very good performance *Stays cool *Bluetooth!
Cons: * Fan is noisy, even at idle. * Touchpad is unusable! * Comes absolutely loaded with crapware *Relatively small
Overall Review: The touchpad is simply unusable. The machine is good with an external mouse, but I can barely operate the computer- let alone play games- with the pad. I know buttons are expensive, but... did anyone test this hardware before they started selling it? It's immediately apparent that there's a problem; you've got to completely remove your hand from the touchpad every time you want to click something, or else the cursor moves from the action of depressing the lower side of the pad. The fan noise is surprising, but I suppose since this is advertised as a gaming laptop it'd have beefy cooling. The keyboard layout is annoying; the keys are very tightly spaced and require nimble fingers to type on, and the screen is tiny for its resolution. There's only one windows key on the left side, which is unpleasant for those of us who love their shortcuts. But that touchpad is the real kicker. Do not expect to use this device without the assistance of a peripheral mouse. It's got a bluetooth transciever built-in, so you can use a bluetooth mouse/trackpad/BrainGate, but that might not always be practical when you're using it in a car.
