This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: just got thru installing my evo 212 and it took me about 1and a half hour...installation went ok...just make sure to take your time...I had to remove old stock cooler and remove memory sticks and video card and some power cables so I could get my hands to where they needed to be...alittle tight and I have a full tower case..i used the pea size amount of thermal paste and go slow when setting this cooler onto the cpu..I did a dry run first so I got the feel of lining up screws...all in all..it went ok..i think it would of been a lot easier if I had the motherboard sitting on a table top but did not want to remove the board...so when building up to a new build it will be a lot easier...now for the temp numbers....I was running 85 to 90 c on stock intel cooler with my i7-4790k...during stress testing...now with 212..i average 55 to 60 c.....not bad at all...was very pleasantly surprised with the wayyyy cooler temps..!!!!...this product delivers what it says...excellent.... I would buy another without a doubt....I have to say by reading all the reviews on this product convinced me to give it a try...I like neweggs review process...it really helps..
Cons: none...very satisfied with my evo 212
Other Thoughts: I was not sure if I was going to use the pea size or line method....but once I got it on the cpu I went with the pea size...be careful when applying..the thermal paste comes out fast so be gentle when applying..READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: well I have to be honest here...I read a review just b4 putting my order in that a guy only got 2 hours on his card and died..i was not happy reading that but since I have had many ega video cards in the past..too many to remember..i knew that this was not the normal..after reading all the positive reviews ...I got my 1080 in 5 days and have had 2 days of heavy gaming on it and I have to say my fps have been as low as 60 and as high as 325 fps..running 1080 and 2k .the card runs great and my temps average around 70c without any profiles..i let the bios have full control and while I am here..i do not understand why some guys have to overclock this card when it is not needed...!the card is super fast as is!..i can see I will not be buying another video card for some years to come..this baby is plenty powerful for future pc titles....very happy with the 1080 and very surprised ...
Cons: none....card runs very cool and quiet....fans do not come on till 60c and I cannot hear them..
Other Thoughts: very happy with this purchase..and I have only owned evga video cards for all these years ..at least 15 yrs.. and have never had a bad one!!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: was not sure if i needed to upgrade from my evga 680 gtx,it plays all my games except one,at max settings..so i had extra cash and went with the evga 980 and i am not disappointed at all..i am happy i made the upgrade..that game i couldnt play at max is history!it runs buttery smoooooth, like all my games,..it is like night and day in graphics performance...awesome card and fast!!!!
i played crysis3 and the card runs at 70c with precision x in AUTO mode..the fans spin up around 1,000 rpms,..top rpms for card is 4200...cannot hear the fans at all..heat sink decide is great..
Cons: i have the 980 hooked up to two asus 24 inch led monitors, one with HDMI and other DVI-D...the HDMI monitor has white wash brightness and exchanged cables between monitors and other monitor did same thing...tried screen controls to lessen brightness but did not work..located NVIDIA control panel and adjusted brightness and all is well...great software to control all aspects of video card,,great job evga for giving software
Other Thoughts: in perpective...happy i did the upgrade ...alll my games look so much better and 4k quality is great when you enable the option in control panel...puts new life in older gamesREAD FULL REVIEW
