Don't be too Harsh

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This board rocks, overclocks like a charm. Put a C2D E6300 from 1.86 to 3.2 Ghz, Thats 70+/-% OC and thats my old proc on the new one C2Q 9650@ 4.0/4.25 no prob. Takes my Patriot Vipers 1200 to 1232 and possibly more. BIOS settings are more than enough.

Cons: First board was DOA, the board does not support Xeon or at least mine doesn't. Gave it four stars because of DOA and for all people that are getting the constant reboot cycle, that's resolved by leaving virtualization on in BIOS just dont touch it, u turn it off and there u go instant reboot cycle. Also if you put a Xeon it will constantly reboot too so no Xeons need apply.

An old classic

WD BLACK SERIES WD3200BEKX 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
WD BLACK SERIES WD3200BEKX 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: These drives speed up any laptop. The speed, reliability in function and the confidence inspired by its 5 year warranty is proof of the quality in manufacture exhibited by WD's Black series. I have had many of these since the Sata 150 days (2.5"and 3.5") and I can say I would keep buying them all the time except I still have the first one I bought and it works wonderfully.

Cons: At 7200 RPM's you gotta watch your laptop's battery life but not enough to loose an egg.

Overall Review: I think the day I bought this the 500GB version was on sale and cheaper but I didn't notice, boo hoo.

The little monster

PowerColor Radeon HD 5850 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card AX5850 1GBD5-DH
PowerColor Radeon HD 5850 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card AX5850 1GBD5-DH

Pros: Bought two of these to setup a crossfire system on the cheap and these two rock. Have seen Idle temps between 22 and 30 degrees and loads at maybe 55 to 60. Can Run almost anything at max on 1080p and can hook up like six monitors even though eyefinity is for much more powerful cards. Run cool, shorter board than standard 5850 so they fit in almost any midtower case.

Cons: Votage regulator is a little cheap so these can't overclock as well as most 5850's due to this but 2 in crossfire are overkill for almost anything. My board only has 2 PCIE slots. The lame two year warranty that powercolor offers is a joke compared to most in the market.

Overall Review: The price is awesome, two of these run way better than two 6850's and trade blows with the 6870 even in crossfire, all these for 140 less than two 6870's. If you don't care about all the 3d features that the new cards have these are a better option. Did I mention they're super cheap. Specs: Intel core2quad 9650@ 4.33 Ghz (on air), 4GB Ocz Platinum 9200@ 1151Mhz, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, Coolermaster Scout case, BFG 1200w PSU, 2x Powercolor Radeon 5850= 3d mark 06 25000 3dmarks

hec Cougar 1000 1000W Continuous @ 40°C ATX12V V2.2 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This thing is amazing, it supports my overclocked system pretty well. Xeon [email protected], 4GB Crucial Ballistix Lanfest edition DDR2@1117, evga 750i F.T.W, 32gb raptor for OS, 2x wd caviar 500gb raid0, 2x xfx gts 250 core ed 1gb in sli, x-fi extreme audio pci, 24/7 operation, 21750 3dmarks06 totally stable, can even hold OCCT for a couple of hours.

Cons: First one was defective but that happens.

Ati Strikes Gold

GECUBE Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card GC-XHD3850PG3-E3R
GECUBE Radeon HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card GC-XHD3850PG3-E3R

Pros: This card delivers a whole lot more than it promises. Mine is running at 41 degrees idle 59ish under load, runs Crysis with most settings on high at a stable 50+- FPS at 1440x900 res. Real bang for buck.

Cons: None yet and before now I hated ATI cards, this one zero problems with drivers but I am using ATI original drivers from their homepage.

Overall Review: The card is clocked at 725/1850 factory overclocked. Can anybody tell me how long is the warranty on this product?
