Pros: This is a very nice board. It takes my FX-8150 CPU into new dimensions set only to auto where it is running variable speeds between 3.2 ghz and up to 4.2 ghz on call.
Cons: Still working out why this board will not run with a FX-9590 unless it is only running at 1.32-1.37 ghz variable range.
If you need tech support, be aware hold times are extreme to get in touch with tier one tech support which is someone troubleshooting on a computer screen that has no idea what they are troubleshooting personally including no personal knowledge of even how a computer works.
Max memory speed is 1600 mhz DDR3. If you utilize a faster memory the details can be loaded from the memory and the speed set manually in BIOS. The BIOS is automatically set to unganged memory so be sure to change this if you use pairs.
Other Thoughts: This board has extra power requirements for power supply connection. Be prepared to match your power supply and by any adapter cables you need at the same time. CPU power has both an 8 pin and a 4 pin mainboard connection. While most power supplies of quality will come with the 8 pin connector, you will need a 4 pin molex to 4 pin CPU power adapter as well to complete the connection or if your power supply does not have 8 pin rather only having a 4 pin, you will need a 2 x 4 pin molex to 8 pin mainboard connector adapter. The board will run with lesser connections, but the fewer the connections the fewer options you unlock on the board.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Extremely fast and easy to setup.
Other Thoughts: As I have seen questions about this board and the OCZ RevoDrive Hybrid, I can answer this question. It takes some work to get set up and a very fluent knowledge of partitions and partition control through DiskPart as you must convert the boot record to MBR from GPT BEFORE allowing windows to copy files and AFTER you set up the partitions as an UEFI BIOS automatically sets the 100mb reserve to GPT making the cache software nonfunctional. This one headache might take several attampts to get to work and requires reloading windows completely with each attempt to discover if you did it correctly.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I replaced a Raptor with this drive and I must say I am seriously impressed.
Cons: Installation was easy, but configuration was a nightmare as I have Sabertooth UEFI BIOS motherboard. By default, Windows assigns a GPT files system to the 100mb reserved which make the SSD Cache unusable. Copying a hard drive will not work if you have an UEFI BIOS and the manufacturer will tell you it will not work; wrong. Start your windows installation and, after you load the drivers, choose the 1TB hard drive and set your partitions using windoes through drive options. Once it is set, open command prompt, use diskpart to clean and reset the partitions to MBR, continue installation. Works fantastic.
Other Thoughts: If you expect a faster boot, this card adds approximatelt ten seconds to boot time, but windows itself screams into play once intialized. Shogun 2 Total War has always taken forever to load, it now loads within just moments. Internet explorer pops open and pages have to wait on internet rather than internal resources. This drive is not for the faint of heart though once setup seems to be very stable.READ FULL REVIEW
