Best mATX case I've used.

Comments: Having previously owned an Inwin S500 ATX case I expected the same kind of quality, style and value from this case. My expectations have been met and exceeded on all three factors. After trying 2 cube mATX cases to build my micro game system I found both lacking. One was cheaply made (even though it cost almost 2x this case), and the other ran too hot. This case is small enough for use on my desk yet the inside is roomy for a micro case. It is sturdy has tight fitting panels and looks great. Airflow is outstanding for a mATX case even with only one case fan at the rear. The rear 92 mm fan is a little loud for my taste but its a low pitched noise so not too annoying. The power supply alone is probably worth the cost of this case and is providing more than enough juice to run my system: Biostar T-Force 6100-939 mobo, A64 3000+ @ 2.25 GHz, 1 GB DDR 400, Connect3D X800GTO @ X800XT PE speed, 1 HD, 1 DVD. Nice little system doing 6725 in 3DMark05 for ~$500. If you are looking for a micro ATX case do not overlook this and the other models by Inwin, they are a great blend of form, function and value.
Quality control issues

Pros: Features you simply don't find at this size/price point: ULV Core 2 Duo based CPU, 2 GB RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, GMA4500 though anemic is better than GMA950 in some netbooks. I like the finish of the palm rest and like the multitouch pad. Thin and light with good battery life.
Cons: The keyboard is too flat and slick and is very easy to lose your place on compared to almost every other keyboard I have used. Also feels spongy and flexes too much and looks like it would be quite a dirt trap. Can't stand the placement of the backspace key, I keep hitting plus/equals. Does ANYONE like glossy screens, bezels and lids? They just look gaudy and attract fingerprints like mad. My unit had some serious QA issues: bluescreened on me twice randomly, wouldn't wake up from sleep, weird chassis warp that would only allow 3 of the rubber feet on the desk at a time so the unit would wobble while typing, fan started buzzing abnormally. All of these things popped up in the very first day of ownership which led me to return this unit to the B&M store (not Newegg) that I bought it at.
Overall Review: I really wanted to like this computer due to the great price to performance to size that is close to what I am really looking for. I think if you get a solid unit and are not a hater of this style of keyboard like I am this would be a great laptop for the money. Will some manufacturer out there please pair this CPU with a good integrated GPU like the 9400m g? That pairing with a nice matte finish screen and casing in something like a 12 inch size for under 6 bills would be exactly what I, and probably many others are looking for.

Pros: Definitely the least expensive 1080p 32" LCD HDTV out there if you can find it on sale. Games on PC and 360 at 1920x1080@60Hz looked decent over VGA. Black doesn't look navy blue like some cheap lcd panels. No discernable input lag.
Cons: I find it hard to believe that this is a 6ms GtG panel given the ghosting I was seeing in movies and games, this is not a huge deal to me but it's there. Could not get good contrast or colors after calibration. Turning contrast up meant killing dark movie scenes and turning brightness up to compensate meant dull gray blacks and muddy colors. Six, count them, six stuck pixels... Unacceptable.
Overall Review: Didn't buy at newegg so 6 stuck pixels means this thing is going back to the store. Not sure if I want to play the sceptre panel lottery again...

Pros: Attractive bezel and overall looks good turned off on my desk. Good black levels for an lcd.
Cons: Horrible color, can't even come close to natural looking colors no matter how I calibrate. Viewing angle is so bad you can see color and brighness variations from straight on. A lot of ghosting considering this supposedly has 5ms response time. Picture just looks dull and lifeless 1000:1 contrast is a joke.
Overall Review: Screen had a nice big scuff mark on it right out of the box. One stuck red sub-pixel but its barely noticable on the top left of the screen. Spend your money on another monitor. There are several monitors at or slightly above this one's price that make it look disgusting by comparison.
Great board

Comments: Second Biostar board I have built a system on and both have been outstanding for the price. This board overclocks well (be sure you get the new bios). The onboard GeForce 6100 is fine for light gaming. Onboard sound has a little bit of static, but its not too bad. Some nice software utilities for overclocking and downloading/flashing bios in windows. Very happy with this board overall. Biostar has impressed me again with their price/performance ratio.
Great customer service on damaged shipment
My first order was damaged during shipping. The seller promptly sent the replacement and I got it within a week, this time arriving in good condition. The damage wasn't at all the seller's fault but still they provided swift replacement product at their own expense, and that's on the first time I ever did business with them. This kind of excellent service will keep me coming back in the future.
