Excellent value

DELL Laptop Latitude Intel Core i5-520M 4GB Memory 160GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 14.1" Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit E5410
DELL Laptop Latitude Intel Core i5-520M 4GB Memory 160GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 14.1" Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit E5410

Pros: I bought two of these laptops and they came in as like new condition as they could possibly be. Out of curiosity, I checked out the "new" price tag back in the day and it was easily over 1K depending on the customization. They've been rebuild by a Microsoft Authorized "Refurbisher" and the parts inside looked pretty new, motherboard, hard drive, RAM, etc. I went on Dell's website to check out the date shipped (aka out of the factory) and one of them was made in Aug 2010 and the other one in Apr 2011. They both had 3 years of Dell NBD "parts-delivery" warranty that it's still active till Aug 2013 and Apr 2014 respectively. I couldn't have asked for more since the Newegg warranty that they came with I believe was 90 days only. They came with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit pre-installed on them as the previous reviewer mentioned, but they also came with the Windows DVDs installation media for both 32-bit and 64-bit with their own license keys stuck on a label on the back of the laptops "Windows 7 Pro Refurbished PCs". I purchased a Samsung 840 SSD hard disk for one of them, installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with the key on the label in less than 20 minutes, and the laptop is booting in about 20 seconds and shuts down in 5 or less. Naturally, I'm extremely satisfied with the laptop's performance now, but even with the original 160 GB hard disk at 7200 RPM. I think this is a great purchase at a fraction of the original price tag.

Cons: None so far, great value at a great price!

Overall Review: Great laptops, so far so good!

Most Critical Review

Fails corrupting data

SimpleTech BonzaiXpress 2GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) STI-UFD/2GB
SimpleTech BonzaiXpress 2GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) STI-UFD/2GB

Pros: Cheap price

Cons: Extremely slow writer and poorly unreliable. In the two weeks I've had it corrupted my data two times and had to reformat and restore from backups.

Overall Review: Would never buy another one of these.

Amazing

OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" 50GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2VTX50G.RF
OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" 50GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2VTX50G.RF

Pros: Boots faster than my Samsung 830 and 840 120GB. I assume it's because of the smaller size it takes less search time. I got five of these and they came in brand new condition packaged and sealed by OCZ, the firmware was already up-to-date on all five that I got to the latest version 1.37, because when I ran firmware update with their OCZ toolbox software it said that this is drives already have the latest firmware. Very pleased with all five of them, brand new condition, all working great, hope they last a while. I fine tuned them according to some Windows 7 forums to maximize reliability things like disable Disk Difrag, Troubleshooting, Superfetch, Windows Search, Hibernation and a few other things.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Phenominal for the price, I've put them in four laptops and one desktop as primary with a large SATA hard drive as secondary drive for storage. Best of both worlds, fast performance and tons of storage on a desktop. Mapped all profiles to save on the secondary hard drive. Excellent so far.

Great laptop

HP Laptop ProBook Intel Core i3-380M 2GB Memory 320GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 15.6" Windows 7 Professional 32-bit 4520s (XT989UT#ABA)
HP Laptop ProBook Intel Core i3-380M 2GB Memory 320GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 15.6" Windows 7 Professional 32-bit 4520s (XT989UT#ABA)

Pros: High processor speed and hard drive speed, Windows 7 Professional, Solid feel, the keyboard and touchpad resemble MAC's laptops.

Cons: It came with 2GB of RAM only, which is fine out of the box, but I'm planning on upgrading mine to 4GB.

Overall Review: I love the keyboard and touchpad, as I said they've copied how they're on MAC's laptops and if you've ever used MAC laptop, you're gonna love it. I know some people said it's different and what not, but that's probably because they've never used MAC.

Love it

RCA Black 2GB MP3 Player TH1702
RCA Black 2GB MP3 Player TH1702

Pros: MP3 player, Audible books, FM Radio tuner, Voice recording, I also like the fact that it uses a regular AAA battery which lasts quite a long time and then you could just replace it with a spare one that you have with you if you're somewhere on a long trip. Some people prefer a re-chargeable battery, but I haven't felt this being a disadvantage. FM digital radio seems to work really well.

Cons: There's no stop button to get you out of a song, but I believe thas done on purpose, because you could just pause that remembers how far along you're on each Audible book and I believe on the specific MP3 file that you're playing as well. You could pause and go onto the next book or another song or a different functionality.

Overall Review: It's exactly what I wanted, plain and simple inexpensive MP3 player that came with extra bonus features that I like.
