Falls apart

Cooler Master NotePal U3 PLUS - Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad with 3 Moveable High Performance Fans - Black
Cooler Master NotePal U3 PLUS - Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad with 3 Moveable High Performance Fans - Black

Pros: It does cool the laptop, nearly silent operation. Adjustable fans.

Cons: It's important to note that I carefully move my laptop from my desk to my nightstand twice a day. My observations are based on that. The adjustable fans barely stick to the pegboard surface. The engineering is clever, but the clips don't grip very well and are very easily knocked loose. It seems too small for my normal sized HP laptop. The coolers front rubber skid strip never seems to find a 'sweet spot' on the bottom of my laptop, it's always uneven or off balance as a result. Moving the cooler & laptop as one unified piece does not work well unless you use the included strap. But that strap also covers all my buttons above the keyboard. I'm sure most laptops have function buttons there as well. No matter how many times I have lifted this cooler the fans always come off with the slightest bump. (Yes, I know how to lock them).

Overall Review: As a whole, laptop coolers have always seemed grossly overpriced to me. Although this specific unit isn't "junk", it's not made very well. It's a small, thin, bent piece of aluminum with holes punched in it. I don't understand why these sell for nearly $50. My last laptop cooler was cheap plastic, sounded like a hair dryer and cost nearly $30. This unit is metal and quiet....but very overpriced, even on sale.

Extremely disappointed!

Hanns-G 22" Active Matrix, TFT LCD WSXGA+ LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, DVI-D Hi-221DPB
Hanns-G 22" Active Matrix, TFT LCD WSXGA+ LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, DVI-D Hi-221DPB

Pros: Low cost, simple low-profile monitor without glossy trimmings that make other monitors look silly or dated after a few years. Beautiful picture, great for movies & gaming. A buddy had one and I was so impressed I bought two.

Cons: After 14 months of perfect service they both died - a week apart. Since we're a recording studio all of our power is filtered and stabilized. The HannsG's were given gourmet electricity in a dust-free HEPA purified air environment. IOW, these monitors failed because they're shidd.

Overall Review: I'll never buy HannsG products again. I was a very early adopter of their line and still have all the original HW191D's we bought 10(?) years ago. The build quality between their original line and current line shows they are dropping like a rock.
