Intel is on a breakaway...
Pros: This proc is fast, reliable, easy to install, and easily overclockable. Astonishing how much faster Intel is than AMD...
Cons: I can't think of any at all, a lot of people are complaining about heat issues. However, I idle at 34C and load at 59C overclocking turbo to 42X with stock voltages.
Overall Review: I recently made my wife a budget build consisting of an FX6300 with an MSI board. She quickly brought it to my attention that it wasn't up to par with my [old] computer (2600k, GaZ68AP-D3, 8 Gig's of PC1600). Honestly, when I had first built and installed everything, I did notice it was quite sluggish in comparison. So me being the swell guy that I am, and thinking about my wife. I upgraded to this 3770k and an Asus Z77-V LE Plus. She got my old rig, and we're both happier than two kids in a candy store. I'd like to add that it's a bit startling how much slower the AMD suite has become in comparison to Intel. The gap is so wide, their's absolutely no reason to consider AMD. Admittedly, in my youth and when the last FX processors were out. I was a big advocate of AMD, and to see them so far behind in this processor race is actually a bit sad. I hope they get their stuff together, I actually really like AMD and competition is a good thing. Let us hope they stay in the race, for everyone's pocketbooks sake!
A terrible product, a terrible company.
Pros: They work great when they work. Which isn't often.
Cons: I've had to RMA these drive(s) twice now. I provided proof of purchase, and my information on the 1st RMA. Yet, Mushkin wants proof of purchase again, even though, they already have my information, I know this because one of their employees mistakenly verified my old address over the phone. They do this is so they don't have to RMA your products, had you not kept your receipt. Luckily, I bought through Newegg.com, and they keep extensive records and provide stellar service. Upon my 2nd RMA with Mushkin, they sent my drive(s) to the wrong address. They made no attempt to contact me, or let me know what had happened. So, two weeks later. When I could actually get someone to return my emails and phone calls. They agreed to upgrade my drive(s). They offered to pay shipping, and overnight my drives due to them making the mistake. Three days later, no drives, no call from Mushkin. I called to ask what was going on and I spoke to an incredibly rude, terse, and outright ghetto individual by the name of Briana Wallace. Briana very snidely assured me that they never agreed to upgrade my drives, and that their was nothing in their notes to reflect an upgrade. Briana also informed me that they had overnighted my drives three days ago, but they’re not going to arrive for another two days. So, a total of 5 days. I've asked to have a manager call me post haste, currently pending, and patiently awaiting his/her phone call. I seriously doubt, I’ll get a call from a manager if I get a call at all.
Overall Review: This company is totally unscrupulous, they count on you loosing your receipts, so they don't have to honor their warranty process. They don't return your phone calls and emails within a timely manner. Their employees are very rude and combative. They'll outright lie to you, so make so you record all of your emails and, if possible, your phone calls with them. If I could give anyone any advice at all; DONT DO BUSINESS WITH MUSHKIN!
Very nice for the price!
Pros: It's a great leather wallet for the price
Cons: It doesn't have a double ID flap, hence the huge discount...
Garbage, redefined...
Pros: It looks very pretty, and it fits into my mobo... andddddd, the drivers work? At least it gives me a reason to go back to retailer where I purchased it.
Cons: It sounds like absolute horrid dung, this Recon 3D (scout mode) junk they're pedaling is horse dung at best. The crackling, popping, and hollow base reminded me of the first releases of the XF-I series. A true testament to taking 2 steps backwards...
Overall Review: I bought one of these to replace a Creative XF-I Titanium HD, and like all people I bought into the Recon 3D/Scout mode marketing hype... After about 8 to 10 hours of playing different FPS's and meddling with settings. Playing various bouts of music, and watching the occasional video on YouTube; I've come to the conclusion that I've wasted my gas, a credit transaction, and part of my life on marketing hype. Though, it happens to the best of us... I think my next purchase will be an ASUS Xonar, I seem to be having very good luck with ASUS products and I'm 1 for 3 with Creative being I had to RMA my old Extreme Music back in the day...
Awesomeness, if their were ever a word.
Pros: Easy to install, easier to configure, mated well with my pre-existing components. A feature rich board with a nice budget price tag.
Cons: I've had the board for nearly two weeks coupled with a 3770k. At this time, I can't think of any negative commentary.
Overall Review: I've used the bios's turbo mode feature to get a sufficient overclock without going crazy. The overall ease of use and efficient setup of both the physical and software aspects of this board are subliminal. To put it simply, this budget board can cater to the advanced overclocking guru, as well as the general home user making his/her first time build.
Not that great...
Pros: They give you a lot more than most per tube, it spreads quite easily. Overall, it's an easy substance to work with.
Cons: It makes absolutely zero difference from using this product compared to not using any thermal compound at all. Also, it dries up rather quickly within a week actually...
Overall Review: I used this product with a Corsair H80i as well as a stock Intel heatsink/fan combination. The results were actually a bit alarming; I noticed not one degree of difference from using this thermal compound, to not using any at all. Though, I suppose it should help dissipate the dreaded 'heat spots'. I'd venture to say it's good for little else... I might try to put the rest of it on my squeaky door hinge. Another review to follow up on its 'anti-squeak' abilities.
