Pioneer VSX-822-K 5.1-Channel 3D Ready A/V Receiver
Pioneer VSX-822-K 5.1-Channel 3D Ready A/V Receiver

Pros: This thing has great sound and has held up quite well in my damp and cold garage for this past winter and am loving the rotating knob as a way to change inputs. Definitely a great job by Pioneer on this product.

Cons: Everything checks out, however without the remote, some actions are difficult or impossible to perform. Very minor qualm.

Rosewill RCAB-11018 - 10-Foot USB 2.0 A Male to Micro B (5-Pin) Male Cable - Black

Pros: Was good for the time that they worked (about one week)

Cons: Broke down shortly after we got them and wasn't worth the price of shipping them to anyone else to get an RMA of some sort.

Razer Surround

Razer Surround Personalized 7.1 Gaming Audio Software - Download
Razer Surround Personalized 7.1 Gaming Audio Software - Download

Pros: After having the surround sound for a day or two, I've realized that it definitely wasn't a placebo effect and that the sounds that were behind me in the game sounded like it was going on behind me in real life. After a month I can't play Borderlands 2 or Sleeping Dogs without it because it's so helpful The equalizers that it employs are also a great pro. My music sounds great whenever I have my headphones in and it sounds phenomenal. Finally, the UI is extremely easy to navigate

Cons: The only con I can think of is that it sets my headphones to a picture of speakers with the name "Speakers" in the Playback Devices option in sounds in windows 8 while there's also a playback option for headphones. There is also a small print underneath the Speakers name that says "Razer Surround Audio Controller" so it isn't a big deal at all. No cons other than that small small one that I probably have mixed up

Overall Review: Stop wasting your time reading reviews and get the software!

Platinum 550W

KINGWIN Absolute Platinum Series AP-550 550 W ATX 12V v2.2, EPS 12V v2.91 and SSI EPS 12V v2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Active PFC Power Supply
KINGWIN Absolute Platinum Series AP-550 550 W ATX 12V v2.2, EPS 12V v2.91 and SSI EPS 12V v2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Platinum, Babay. This works flawlessly and I wouldn't be able to tell that this was in my rig if it weren't for the fact that I have to use power. The fan never goes on but then again, I guess I don't do too much taxing stuff on here since I don't have a graphics card just yet.

Cons: The problems that I have with this power supply are small and limited. It's an overall great PSU but the cords could be a little longer and the ability for them to be modular as well would have been nice.

Overall Review: Once again, this is an amazing power supply. I definitely would recommend it.

First Case

AZZA Toledo 301 (CSAZ-301) Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
AZZA Toledo 301 (CSAZ-301) Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Really nice cooling system with support for a lot of fans -Incredible lighting that makes me drool -Four 5.25" bays in the front for a lot of add-ons like a fan controller -25 centimeter fans that blows me away (Pun intended)

Cons: -It's difficult to take off the plastic front and top to install fans and the user's manual didn't quite help - Fans don't have a control and are always on max speed even when watching a movie that's hooked up to my TV and doing nothing else. Thankfully, it's a quiet fan but a controller in the front solved my problems.

Overall Review: This was my first build but I knew how to get everything done since I'd been staring and hoping for a custom build for years but was finally able to get enough funds to set up a rig.
