G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM

Pros: - Great price - Works as it should - Low latency.

Cons: - None

Overall Review: I usually always get G.Skill and I've never had a problem with any of my modules. I always recommend this brand to my friends and family. Though one of my friends swears to Kingston, I prefer G.Skill. Great memory over all.

Perfect card for the 1080p gamer

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 08G-P4-5173-KR, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 08G-P4-5173-KR, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)

Pros: - Perfect for 1080p Gaming - 60+ FPS on everything I throw at it @ 1080p/60Hz

Cons: - Current Price of $1049

Overall Review: I only paid $389 for mine. $1049 for this card is absolutely insane and anyone who buys it at this price is crazy. I'm knocking an egg off just for that.

XFX Radeon HD 6870 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card HD-687X-CNFC
XFX Radeon HD 6870 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card HD-687X-CNFC

Pros: - Great card for its time - 2GB GDDR5 - Still plays games on high settings past 30fps

Cons: - Fan is loud at times - Overheats VERY easily - Needs 3rd party software to control fan speeds from default to prevent overheating (or, preferably, aftermarket heatsink/fans)

Overall Review: Just recently, after having this card since 2011, I was experience extreme overheating while playing just simple games (temps went as high as 109ºC). I haven't really had much problems with over heating but the temps have always been high (around ~65ºC on idle and around ~85-90ºC on heavy load). But recently the overheating started to cause my computer to shut down. I had to take the heatsink and fan off just to see what the problem really was. The main problem I noticed right away was whoever made this card used WAY too much paste. There was so much paste that it was spread onto the main board. I had to clean all of the paste off and re-apply. After this I was getting MUCH better idling temp of ~51ºC. This was still not good enough for me so I installed MSi Afterburner and changed the default fan speeds just to see if I could get any lower. Now I am getting an Idling speed of ~37ºC. As far as being under heavy load I have not yet tested that, but I will check back with my results. This should not have to be done to get good temps, but it's a fairly old card so it was expected to do a little maintenance.
