Best for the price

Creative Inspire T6160 50 Watts 5.1 Speakers
Creative Inspire T6160 50 Watts 5.1 Speakers

Pros: Great bass response, real 5.1 surround, Sounds amazing at every range. The subwoofer is pointed downwards so if it's on a solid surface then things will shake, I have it tuned perfectly at about 1/4 volume, to find your perfect subwoofer volume read my other thoughts.

Cons: The middle speaker doesn't have a way to be put on an lcd monitor and the rear speakers can't be mounted on a wall and their cords are a bit short and proprietary. Other then that they made me have to buy a new sound card because my Realtek couldn't show me their full potential.

Overall Review: These make even Realtek sound good, that's saying alot. I'm gonna give some advice on how to set up the bass volume to get the best experience possible in gaming and movies. Turn the bass volume about half then adjust til you can just barely hear it over the speakers then lower it a little. What you want to do is make the subwoofer disappear so you'll think the bass is coming from the speakers. Don't put it on carpet because it will absorb the bass, if you have to then get a metal tray or something so the sound will bounce off it.

Could work, for some.

SilenX IXN-40C Copper Chipset Cooler
SilenX IXN-40C Copper Chipset Cooler

Pros: Full copper Seems to have a wide mounting array Comes with a silent fan

Cons: Can't find any measurements so may not fit some applications

Overall Review: Wouldn't fit on my board. The cooling fan for the chipset on my EVGA SLI board went out and one does not simply replace their "innovative blower-type chipset fan." I figured that I could replace the heatsink with these but I was mistaken. It kind of fits on my southbridge and somewhat fits there, after I moved my GPU and soundcard around. The northbridge doesn't fit at all and I had to improvise using zipties. On the plus side even though it's on there using make-shift methods the temps did drop a little bit so they must be good. I'm going to try something else to get better cooling for me but will be holding onto these, may come in handy for something else someday.

Does its job

StarTech.com TX3SPLIT12 1 ft. TX3 Fan Power Splitter Cable Female to Male
StarTech.com TX3SPLIT12 1 ft. TX3 Fan Power Splitter Cable Female to Male

Pros: Splits one fan header into two Long, could be used as an extension Seems durable enough, despite lack of sleeving

Cons: Not really pretty Long, could be hard to route on some cases

Overall Review: If you want it to look good you can go get a cable sleeving kit for yourself. For the price you can't go wrong and if you're really desperate for it to look good use my method of wrapping the cable in electrical tape.

My first real motherboard

EVGA 132-BL-E758-RX LGA 1366 Intel X58 3X SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 132-BL-E758-RX LGA 1366 Intel X58 3X SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: LGA 1366 for under $200 sounds like a good deal to me. Has handled my clumsy installation (first build and first time installing a motherboard) and has all the features I need. Came with an IO shield. 2 Ethernet ports, gotta find out what to do with 2 of them though.

Cons: All this board comes with is the IO shield (sometimes) so you have to go to their site to download drivers and manual, which anyone in their right mind would do anyways. If yours didn't come with an IO shield then you can buy one off their site for $10 and free shipping, still a pretty good deal if you have to.

Overall Review: Sometimes you have to ask yourself do you really need Sata 6Gb or USB 3, I don't because this board has 12 USB 2 ports and 2 eSata for external drives and unless you're going to raid several SSD's then you don't need Sata 6Gb. I have 4 HDD's in a Raid0 with on board Intel controller going as fast as 450MB/s and that still doesn't cap the bandwidth of Sata 3Gb

G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI
G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI

Pros: Works perfectly at 1600 with 1.5v like it says it rated for but can also run without issue at 2000 at 1.5v, haven't tried overvolting yet. Didn't even have to reseat them after I put them in.

Cons: If you're putting this in with an i7 cpu be aware that Intel moved the memory controller directly on the chip, unlike previous chips where it was part of the board, and it will default the memory to 1066 so in essence you have to overclock the memory to get it to the rated speed but it's easy to do with XMP profiles.

Overall Review: Even under extreme use overclocked they're still cool to the touch, tempted to buy another set but for now 6GB's is more then enough.

Fast, once you RMA it

EVGA GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 01G-P3-1450-TR
EVGA GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 01G-P3-1450-TR

Pros: A huge upgrade from my 7950GTX in my laptop, the last desktop card I bought was a GeForce 4TI for my parents computer and that just gave up the ghost. It runs Mafia II and BFBC2 at 1920x1080 at near max settings flawlessly (40-60FPS). I have it overclocked to core clock 910 and mem clock 1970, Nvidia isn't lying when they say this card is built for overclocking. Once you adjust the fan speeds in EVGA Precision it won't go above 55c on full load.

Cons: I thought the card was DOA because wouldn't show a picture on the monitor no matter what I did. I put in an RMA for it then the next day I decided to give it another try and it worked perfectly.

Overall Review: You can't hear the fan on the card until you turn it up over 55%, then it get incrementally louder but nothing that can't be covered up by game audio. Also if you do F@H then either have a fully closed case or put it a ways away from you. F@H makes the caps scream like nothing you've heard before, I hear it's a common problem with all video cards that don't have a digital pwm system on them though. It beat my friends 5750, Unigine heaven benchmarks gave him 720 score and I got 804.
