Update to previous review

Pros: After a couple of months ownership and use my fondness has grown. I'm using it in a RAID 5 configuration. The bios update went fine as has everything else. I started with 4 500GB drives that were re-purposed from two cheap, usb boxes. Two matching WD, 1 Samsung and 1 Maxtor. The Maxtor was SATA1 so it works fine with mixed drives (at least this combination). I bought 4 seagate 1.5TB drives and proceeded to replace them one by one, letting the RAID rebuild after each replacement. It took a whole weekend, but again, it went flawlessly. The iTunes server presents a long list of my music to any iTunes client I point at it. The web interface is simple and understandable. I set up accounts for all the family and mapped drives for pictures, movies and shared space that reconnect automatically from the windows PCs. It also serves up movies to the WD Live box. The DDNS offering from lg is a nice feature.
Cons: I didn't pick up another one when they offered the bundle. I lost connection to the shared drive while working on an assignment. It came back up after a few moments and I can't say for certain what caused the problem. He re-purposed drives were perfectly silent, but with the seagates I hear it startup pretty loudly. Obviously not the NAS, but the drives.
Overall Review: I should have gotten a second one.
I was surprised .. not in a good way

Pros: Price and features. I LOVE the BlueAnt headsets. The voice prompts and voice commands are a really nice feature. This one will pair with 2 phones. Really necessary for folks with work and personal phones. If you can get a good fit, the sound is superb.
Cons: The 2 I received should have been advertised as refurbished. The appearance was perfectly acceptable until after a week's use, the ear nub that holds the rubber fitting broke off. Upon closer inspection, it was apparently glued on as if repaired. The other show the same evidence, but it has not broken yet. Mine arrived only with the largest rubber ear fitting. I prefer the medium sized one.
Overall Review: I was disappointed that it appears to have been previously owned, broken and repaired.
Works like nothing else I've tried

Pros: I got this and immediately replaced one of my other multi-USB chargers. plugged in the (blackberry using a proper cable of course) AND the iPad 1. both went to 100 percent before I knew it. just what I've been looking for and spending good money to try and find.
Cons: I can't get the promo code to allow to buy 2 more.
First entry into NAS ... not bad at all

Pros: I like how this looks and feels. It's solid. It's quiet. I sortof like the Blu-ray writer. Nice menus. Reasonable speed and the price...ohhh the price ($299 back then).
Cons: Could be faster, but when would I say "could be slower". Would like to mount the Blu-ray to my Linux box over the net.
What a bargain

Pros: I snagged on of these on Black Friday and am amazed at what this company is doing. They must use the same engine across the whole line because they all have the same specs regardless of size. I've not found anything that comes close for near their prices. I have 3 different models including this one (2 with ATSC tuner and 1 without) and all three have fabulous picture, ample connections and perfectly acceptable quality. The smallest of the three had a problem and they replaced it. No problems to speak of with that transaction.
Cons: They apparently put their best work toward the visual aspects because the sound is mediocre at best. The remote is pretty cheesy and the documentation is nearly non-existent although they do provide a CD with additional info, but not much. Some universal remotes don't have codes for the newer Olivia TVs. TV volume does not control levels on the audio out connectors. That's all.
Overall Review: Would I do it again? Definitely..and I might.
