This review is from: Jabra Solemate Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (Yellow)
Cons: After < than 1 year, the rubber base on my unit became "sticky/gooey. It must be a odd rubber defect that I've seen infrequently in the past. I contacted Jabra tech support to see if I could get a new base since the unit was still under warranty. They refused to help since although the unit I purchased (via Newegg on another wbsite) was brand new, they were not an "officially authorized reseller". GREAT WAY TO STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS JABRA!!!!
Instead, Jabra stands behind the fine print of who they consider an authorized reseller to eliminate the need for product support. Well, I hope that business model works for them in the short term (I'm sure it will) but in the long term....hmmm, not so sure. I will NEVER buy another Jabra product again. I've had MUCH better customer support (even post warranty) from Logitech and Creative. Jabra lost me for a customer and I suggest avoiding products from them entirely.
Other Thoughts: Look elsewhere, just not a Jabra productREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Roku 3500R Streaming Stick (2014 Model) - Certified Refurbished
Pros: Faster than Roku 1
Better remote, works via RF or bluetooth, doesn't need to "see" main unit
Hidden from sight
Cons: Needs full time external power or unit fully re-boots every time it starts up. USB power from back of TV can supply power, but the power there shuts when the TV shuts, thus full ROKU reboot. I ran a cord from a full time power outlet and now problem is solved. This is something to be aware of. Apparently some TVs have enough power from the HDMI alone to power the stick independently and I have no idea how that power setup affects the reboot situation
Other Thoughts: I am pleased with the purchase, it allows me to have the unit function as a Time Warner cable TV box without the $10 monthly box rental fee. I am used to the operation as I already had a ROKU XS.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: One previous reviewer said Roku 3 didn't have Ethernet connection. W R O N G , it does. BTAIM (be that as it may), I still think this Roku 2 XS is a much better deal
Cons: None, maybe no headphone jack on remoteREAD FULL REVIEW
