Great old tech
Pros: Uses AA batteries ( a dead Li-ion battery does not cause this to be trash) Can use a separate Li-ion battery pack with the usb cord. (hint turn both the batter pack and the reader on after connecting the cord) Can carry hundreds, maybe thousands of books in a SDHC card (up to 32 gig) most other wannabe e-book readers can't.- makes it an effective pocket library. Can use Nimh rechargeables Not certain if a Li-ion pack will recharge Nimh batteries on board though it looks likely (possible danger of overcharging be careful). This reader has been utterly reliable so far, I use it at lest several hours up to 6 nearly every day. No Wi-Fi or wireless B.S. Can read self made EPUB files
Cons: Slow boot after battery change; confusing the first time Some think the reader is defective- hold the power button in for 5-6 seconds. Has a bit of trouble with self scanned pdf files (turn the reflow off to navigate) None of these are significant to me.
Overall Review: I'm going to get another as a backup since it looks like ECTACO is just draining/selling old stock. and nothing else on the market looks as good. If you want a Li-ion with audio, the aluratek?? looks like a similar reader without the replaceable batteries.
Good card
Pros: Good price (with rebate) decent performance Low noise This would be a 5 rating except for the cons below.
Cons: The box was missing the S-Video to Composite Adapter and CrossFire Bridge listed in the package contents and shown in the picture. This wouldn't be a big deal but out 2 cards purchased both had the same parts missing. 2 eggs off
Overall Review: Don't expect to get all the parts; if you want to do crossfire get your card from a source that gives you all of the parts that should be in the box. Bad; NewEgg Runs the crysis demo at very high with this AMD 4 core.
fair Old tech
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Realtek lan wants to be connected before boot; tried different drivers, same result; no internet/lan unless connected before boot.
Overall Review: Recieved an old Q8300 core 2 quad chip, free. Got this board to use it; should have saved my money. Antique onbord vid good only for word processing, IMO, but the board & processer is a good match to an old 8800 gts 512 vid card for moderate gaming. You get what you pay for, I guess Over all a fair match to junk box parts that you may have to make an antique but functional machine.
working well for me
Pros: inexpensive functional no surprises
Cons: none Packing could have been better to compensate for rough handling in shipping.
Overall Review: Bought this to replace two 1.5 gig drives in the home theater; no hassles or problems just installed it, W7 recognized it then I formated it and transferred the data from the other 2 drives. Clean & easy Waiting for new egg to stock 4 gig drives.
not for overclockers
Pros: cheap, free shipping
Cons: none really it is as advertised.
Overall Review: Don't expect to get extra performance by overclocking with this memory; these have been very tightly binned to exclude the better performing sticks/chips.
