It works!
Pros: It works with your xbox360 controllers!!! And it also made use of my headset! because I hate using the mic on the PC, i rather use a headset.
Cons: Kinda wish the heatset would work like it does with xboxlive! but its depending on your program and how to setup the ear peice on the headset. The hugest con is that the instructions listed on this website does not work in setting it up with windows 7.. and also the disk that comes with it also does not help too much either. There is a way that shows you how to install this receiver on youtube. you just gotta search for it. keywords: "How to Install The Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver On Windows Vista/7" in search in youtube and it will show you how to do it.
Overall Review: To go into more detail about it, it seems like the trick is to install the drivers from microsoft website, BUT that does it set it up... You have to go to the control panel and go to device manager, and uninstall what you have already installed on it, and then when its called "unknown" in Device manager, you basically right click it and and choose "let me browse for driver software" and THEN instead of browsing you click on the bottom one where it says "List of drivers" NOT the browsing one. And then basically go down to "Microsoft Common Controllers for windows class" and then "Xbox360 controller version.. 2.xxxx " or whatever it is and then install it.. and your done... i hope thats not too complicated, but after you do all of that it all works perfect.. I just hope this review will help someone, because it took me a bit to get it working.
Too loud for my needs
Pros: If loudness is not a concern this powersupply might be good for you. I live in an apartment where I am constantly in hearing distance, so I will be reserving this product as a backup power supply. cheap reliable so far
Cons: Loud compared all of the other PSU's i have experience with wish there was a sound rating on these things so people can be aware before they purchase, but this is why there is a review feature. so that customers like myself can warn the others.
The description all says This is a 5700XT, but I am pretty sure it's a 5700XTX
Pros: These kept on going on backorder... and i finally managed to get one!! If your looking for the custom PCB performance, this is the card.... I don't think this is the XT chip tho.. so make sure you take all reviews (both mainstream and consumer reviews with a grain of salt), but this appears to be the XTX chip based on the GPU-Z reporting of the stock clocks the chip is supposed to do. 5700XT stats that are supposed to show up in GPU-Z regardless of manufacture overclocks) 1905MHz (Stock of a Navi 10 XT) 1980Mhz (Stock of a Navi 10 XTX) The manufacture Overclock on this specific card is 2090Mhz... (so it will ramp up to this clock regardless of what GPU-Z reports what the stock clocks are) which is an impressive OC out the box and technically doesn't need to be overclocked. I have had this same exact experience with MSI cards time and time again for multiple generations.... which is why I keep returning back to MSI cards. They make a Custom PCB card (the Gaming X series) as a card that far exceeds expectations where performance can be truely taken advantage of when in the right hands (my hands of course)
Cons: Requirement of a better PSU was unexpected for me. I initially tried to use this with a 430watt psu and it would crash during heavy gameplay... however changing to a 850watt PSU has resolved all of my crashing issues. Just like with motherboard purchases... if you are not an overclock or a PC enthusiast, the extra features of a custom PCB card like this one would be a waste. I feel that both Graphics cards and Motherboards should require a licensing or a permit to ensure the right equipment are in the right peoples hands.... my hands of course
Overall Review: This is a 2.5 PCI slot card... its a big boy.. make sure you have space both below the card and the length of the card. This card barely fits my Fractal Design R4 case; had to bring it in at an angle before lining it up with the PCI-E slot.
Fast charger...
Pros: Has 2 USB slots, a 2.0 amp and a 1 something amp. Was stuck in an ice storm.. me and the neighbors had no power for over 24 hours and we needed our phones chargered, so we got in my car and i cranked it up and we watched a movie on my console while we chargered up our phones!!! This thing really got us out of a bind in our time of need, the 2 amp slot chargers your phone so quickly, I am so glad i got this last year, it has really came to use recently and i wanted to write a review about how i finally got some good use out of it.
Cons: I orginally got it to load u my garmin and my phone at the same time, but the garman does not like USB's... it works, but it just takes my garman AGES to load up.. so i have this charger in my glove compartment now for emergencies.
Had this for a while now
Pros: Got this thing running an MSI R9 290 on a headless Mining system. Surprisingly it has 2 PCI Express power plugs.. which is very uncommon for this type and power rated powersupply... I have a few Seasonics with simular power rating and they only have 1 PCI express. The pro about having 2 PCI express powerplugs is that it can support a SUPER highend videocard like an R9 290 without using any extra molex to pci adapters, OR you could do 2 card crossfire/SLI with 2 lower/mid-ranged cards. According to kill-a-watt I am using 400watts out of this PSU running just a headless mining rig, and running just 1 MSI R9 290. It has been going on for almost a month now. I wasn't a fan of corsair before.. but i am now... I recently bought a 1000 watt RM series by Corsair just because of how much i enjoyed this one after 2 years.
Cons: I perhaps gave a pre-mature review of this PSU alittle over 2 years ago when I first got it, and it was because of how bad my ASrock motherboard was, I did not realize it until I bought 2 highend platinum rated seasonics that I realized that it was due to my motherboard that I was not getting what I wanted out of the PSU, and my motherboard ended up blowing out one of my seasonics... I went for another seasonic but this time lowerend and I was not able to load up the same overclocks and over voltages that THIS PSU could do..... However i ended up using all of my PSU's i bought on older systems and such, and I throw all of the other PSU's on miners that I don't care about....
Overall Review: After several years of this thing running in my parents entertainment center, I took it back out to run it on a mining rig that just runs 1 R9 290, and it is currently pulling around 400 watts out of the wall for over a month now... I originally bought this from a combo deal with a rebate deal.. which i regretted for a while until now.... I just love this psu.... its doing exactly what I want it.. for such a great price!!! I have several 200 dollar PSU's now... and I just feel like I don't have my moneys worth compared to this little guy.
Not as loud as i expected
Pros: I don't see why XFX has such a bad rep in quality and noise... I am having a great experience with this card so far. I liked how theres no VRM or Memory coolers, because I was going to add them myself when i add the water cooler great looking stock cooler..... brushed aluminium... and feels really solid and high quality. the stock cooler was good while I was using it... but I am enjoying the card much more with a water cooler.
Cons: I just hope my warranty will still work after I have removed the stock cooler.... I just couldn't stand hearing the card.. so I had to put a water cooler on.
Overall Review: I have bought so many cards in the past...... its impossible to tell if you have a good one or not.. because I see even the biggest name companys produce cards that fail after a few months.. I used to buy ONLY Sapphire... but I may switch now after this great experience.
