Fast and Reliable
Pros: Very overclockable, stable, fast, reliable. Ive had this CPU overclocked at 4.1 GHz constantly for the past three years. (bought in 2010) Has been paired with a 6990 and has run every modern game (sans Crysis 3) on Ultra/Max. Tomb Raider looks especially delicious.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: Behaves with windows 7/8 just fine. Grab an aftermarket cooler and go ham with the overclock. One of AMDs finest Id say
Good choice, highly recommend
Pros: PCIe 3.0, Overclocks superbly, quality craftsmanship, lots of room for GPUs and coolers. mini PCIe(mSATA?). Wifi and bluetooth are awesome. Ive had this board since Nov 2013 and has been running overclocked ever since, somewhat stable (my fault) and no issues yet. Board is solid and comes with lots of goodies in the box. Paired this bad boy with a 780 Lightning from MSI and it looks good.
Cons: No real gripes, RAID setup was tricky and my only issue with it is that it takes a long time for it to initialize. Had two 64GB SSD in RAID0, while it was fast and awesome, my boot times suffered greatly. Pretty sure any RAID controller takes its time to init though.
Overall Review: Not sure if thats a mini PCIe or an mSATA slot on the board, documentation barely mentions the thing. Anyways, its not going to provide more bandwidth than the SATA 6Gbps so dont bother unless you want to stick a wifi card in there. MSI is a quality brand, nuff said.
Awesome Card
Pros: Looks Good, performs even better. I've had nothing but joy overclocking this card, 1280Mhz clock and benches better than my buddy's 780ti (at stock speeds). Cool and quiet, even if fans are set at 100% its nothing when compared to similar AMD blower style coolers. Picked it up for $584.99 and is worth every penny.
Cons: Card is big, the "GPU Reactor" on the back of the card is large enough that you may not be able to fit a card above this one. The cooler is also 2.5 slots tall so you cannot put a card next to it either. This effectively takes up 4 slots in your case.... The lighting couldve been a bit more coordinated, I mean, the is card itself is black and yellow, the "Lightning" logo glows green, and the LEDs on the backplate are bright blue. BIOS flash is required for a decent OC, not worth taking an egg off though (see below)
Overall Review: The stock BIOS comes with a slight overclock, which you are not going to be using anyways, the LN2 BIOS that is "fully unlocked" is in fact locked down as well. I had to flash the BIOS in order to bump voltages etc. Still, MSI shouldnt market this as an enthusiast OC card while having these restrictions...
