Almost excellent
Pros: Thin and light for the hardware included Runs cool Thin bezel USB-C
Cons: Trackpad is pretty bad, keyboard is ok though Does not support USB-C charging No SSD included, though it's understandable for the price The battery lasts for about 2.5-3 hours web-surfing and 2ish hours when gaming when the CPU is undervolted -165mV and GPU undervolted by -113.4mV this is nowhere near the advertised 7+ battery hours advertised 25W artificial power limit when all cores are loaded, making it so that the cores won't boost past 2.2Ghz. I really don't understand why MSI decided to lower the power limit to 25W when the CPU is rated at 45W. When the CPU is not 100% loaded, then yes, the power limit is 45W and some cores will boost to 4.1Ghz, but when all cores are 100% loaded, the power limit is dropped to 25W. This was measured using HWMonitor and Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.
Overall Review: The laptop is good for the price, but the 25W power limit is such a turn off. Also, MSI, please don't advertise the laptop as having 7+ productivity hours of battery life when it can only last 2.5-3hrs surfing the web. The 7+ hours battery life is only achievable when the laptop is sitting idle completely stock, with no applications installed and no windows updates in the background. Sitting idle is not considered productive by any definitions, so please don't advertise it as having 7+ productivity hrs.
DO NOT BUY
Pros: IT's cheap
Cons: It's cheap. It has been recalled by the manufacture per government's mandate.
Overall Review: It Gigabyte has started the recall before such a big media mess, I wouldn't have given it a 1 egg. If it wasn't for government and media pressure, they likely wouldn't have recalled the product. This means they don't care about customer's safety.
Great deal
Pros: Much cheaper than the Samsung alternative. Hope that it lasts just as long. Fingers crossed
Overall Review: So far so good. The price is unbeatable
Great tiny thing
Pros: Very versatile, easy to use.
Cons: It's 10 Amp and not 15amp, but not a deal killer
Overall Review: If you travel around a lot, this is a must have
It blows
Pros: Used as radiator fans. These pull so much air through the radiator. It works better than the more expensive noctua ones.
Cons: Note that this pull a lot of current close to 1 amp per fan. Because of this, it is necessary to use a fan hub, or make it so that each fan header only power 1 fan, otherwise, you might risk burning your port.
Overall Review: Great price per performance. Highly recommended
Good. But not the best
Pros: I see colors The heatsink conducts heat really well Such high density in a module is hard to find
Cons: Limited overclocking capability High cas latency that does not scale with voltage
Overall Review: Came with Hynix MJR memory, which has really poor cas latency. I was able to overclocked them to 3600MHz 22-21-21-21-22 at 1.36v. I tried raising the voltage to 1.45v to see if I can improve the cas latency, but I wasn't able to drop it any lower. Speed is a major tradeoff when you go with high density RAM
Ok
Pro: Fast Shipping Con: high price
