Great Value

Crossover 27QW Perfect Pixel 27" IPS LED 2560 x1440 Slim AH-IPS Dual Link DVI Monitor
Crossover 27QW Perfect Pixel 27" IPS LED 2560 x1440 Slim AH-IPS Dual Link DVI Monitor

Pros: -Great picture -Simple design -Comes with Dual-Link DVI cable -Great Price -Got to me (in Nebraska) in less than a week from South Korea, pretty solid.

Cons: -Not much here. Some people have commented that the stand is flimsy but I think it is just fine. I guess if I shake my desk the monitor shakes a bit, but I'm not really one to be shaking my desk all that often, so it isn't really a negative for me.

Overall Review: This monitor is a great value. I paid the extra $40 for the perfect pixel because I figure if I'm gonna spend over $300 on something, I might as well pay a little more to make sure it works the way I want it to. If you are looking to upgrade to a 1440 monitor, this is a great way to go because you don't have to shell out over $500. Also, make sure you have a video card that will support this monitor. I originally got a Radeon R7 240 but this does not support it. You need to go to at least an R7 260 if you want it to work.

Good middle of the road mobo

MSI H87-G43 LGA 1150 Intel H87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX High Performance CF Intel Motherboard
MSI H87-G43 LGA 1150 Intel H87 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX High Performance CF Intel Motherboard

Pros: -Good price -Solidly built -Well labeled -Good heatsyncs

Cons: -2 poorly placed sata connectors -A large CPU fan can cause problems for RAM slots

Overall Review: This is a good middle of the road motherboard. It has decent sized heat syncs and is labeled well. I only have a couple of issues with it. There are two sata connections that are stacked on top of each other. The motherboard comes with 2 sata cables that have 90 degree angles on them for this connection. It isn't the greatest set up in the world because once the mobo is in the case, you can't actually see the connections since they are horizontal to you. The other issue I have is that the RAM slots get a bit close if you have a large CPU fan (I have an Hyper 212 EVO). You can just get the RAM in there, but it is closer than I would like it to be. Overall, this is a good board for the price. I understand that I could get a lot more, but if you are looking for a middle of the road mobo for a decent price, this is a good pick. The two issues I talked about weren't quite enough to knock it down to a 4 egg, I would give it 4.5 if could.

Good Price but does not support 1440

GIGABYTE Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card GV-R724OC-2GI
GIGABYTE Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card GV-R724OC-2GI

Pros: -Good Price -Nice sized fan -Quiet

Cons: -Doesn't support 1440

Overall Review: This is a good video card and will get the job done for most people. I just want people to be aware that if you intend on getting a 1440 resolution monitor, you need to go a step up. I made the mistake of thinking that it would and for a short while thought that I had been delivered a dead monitor. If you want to run a 1440 monitor you will need to step up to at least the R7 260. This will support it. If you plan on gaming, you need to go up higher than this, but I only use it for photo editing and it works fine for me. Again, it is a good card, just wish it would support 1440.

Good Value

CORSAIR CX-M series CX430M 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Modular Power Supply
CORSAIR CX-M series CX430M 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Modular Power Supply

Pros: -Fast -Good Value

Cons: None that I can think of.

Overall Review: This is good mid level memory. It was $60 when I bought it. You might be able to find 8GB for about $10 less from time to time, but $60 isn't a bad price. It works great and Crucial is a pretty reliable product. Happy with the purchase and will probably get another 8GB at some point.

Great buy for average home user

Intel Core i5-4670K - Core i5 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646I54670K
Intel Core i5-4670K - Core i5 4th Gen Haswell Quad-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 1150 84W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646I54670K

Pros: -Fast -Decent Price -Overclocking

Cons: -None

Overall Review: This is a great CPU to get if your computer demands are slightly above what the average users demands are. It is a good processor for someone who is using 3 to 5 mid-level programs simultaneously. If you think you are someone who needs to use heavy programs (things like CS6 and After Effects) simultaneously, then you may want to think about upgrading to 4770k. My processor has been working great for me so far. I am pretty much always using Firefox, Elements 10, Lightroom 3, and Word simultaneously and I don't have any issues whatsoever. It's a great mid level processor that would suit the needs of most people.

Solid drive for good price

Crucial M500 CT240M500SSD1 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Crucial M500 CT240M500SSD1 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: -Fast -Good pricing -Reliable

Cons: -None

Overall Review: This is a great drive if you are looking for a mid-level SSD for a decent price. I got it when it was on sale for $170 which was a great price for a 240GB SSD. My previous SSD was also a Crucial that I have had for over 2 years and I haven't had a single problem with it and don't expect any from this new one. It boots fast and does everything I need it to.
