Most Critical Review

Good keyboard, major flaw -- too sensitive

KeyTronic E03601U1 Beige 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Keyboard
KeyTronic E03601U1 Beige 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Keyboard

Pros: The keyboard works and has a good layout.

Cons: The keyboard is on the verge of being useless due to how much you have to press the keys down when gaming or even sometimes typing. When I depress a key it works about 95% of the time but other times it simply ignores my input. Even in writing this review every 10 words or so I had to go back and re-enter a character that was missed. (and no I am not really bad at typing ha!) The biggest issue with the keyboard, due to the key sensitivity, is that it is too inconsistent to use in video games. As with most FPS games I have to press and hold the WASD keys for a long time. Unfortunately with this keyboard the slightest movement of a finger holding a key down can result in a key up event from the keyboard, stopping any previously initiated movement. (ie. Moving forward with W down and then moving my finger 1mm to the left on the W key resulted in a key up event for the W key

Overall Review: As the owner of an older PS2 Keytronic keyboard of the exact same style the keyboard layout is exactly what I wanted and was used to. If the issue with sensitivity were resolved this would be a perfectly fine keyboard I would likely use for a decade.

Nice design but would not buy again

Fractal Design Meshify C Black ATX High-Airflow Compact Mid Tower Computer Case
Fractal Design Meshify C Black ATX High-Airflow Compact Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: * Very light and fairly well thought out case. The wiring from the PSU reaches everything reasonably well. It's very compact (this unfortunately goes primarily in the Cons section). I like the idea of the magnetized filter on the top of the case. * Installing the motherboard back/plugs plate did not result in physical injury! The size of the opening was cut correctly (always seems to be an issue). * Standoff tool - I've never had a case that came with this little bit. It was well worth the cost of the case!

Cons: * It's too compact and the PSU shroud isn't my thing. I installed an ATX motherboard and just kind of dropped it in and slid it over the standoffs until it lined up with the screw holes. There's no space on the sides of the motherboard to even attempt anything else. Connecting the various cables to the motherboard for power/reset was more challenging than usual. * The space between the side panel and the motherboard mount is large enough for the PSU cables but just barely. I could feel where the plastic of the plugs on the cable were pushing against the closed case. * Top of the case is completely open for sound to escape. If there is a proper solid cover I would be tempted to purchase it. * SSD plate mounting under the CPU made me uncomfortable. I opted to mount the SSD drives on the left/right sides of the plate. This left the spot directly under the CPU open for heat to do whatever it wanted (and not soak right into an SSD). * Screws / Loose Bits - I have purchased 20+ cases in my life and they always come with a varying degree of extra screws and otherwise. This case comes with EXACTLY the number required for just about everything. One screw had bad threading so I tossed it out. I am lucky I was only installing 2 SSD drives. * The front mesh filter can be removed by pushing on a plastic release under the front of the case. On my first removal to install an extra fan I pushed quite hard and when it released felt a number of small sharp plastic needle-like things hit my fingers. The second removal went much worse and I punctured my finger and started to bleed. I am not sure what purpose these plastic sharp things serve (guessing the way the plastic is created results in them).

Overall Review: I would not purchase this case again. Despite my 3/5 review there are just enough things to make this case undesirable. It's just too hard to work in and the exposed top will mean a much louder computer than I would like to have.
