Still going...
Pros: Has been working in this case for 6 1/2 years (though all other parts other than it and the case have changed). Nary a hiccup.
Cons: I'm certain this declaration of its reliability will send it crashing. It doesn't have the cable management features of the newer PSUs.
Overall Review: I'm not going to get another case and PSU until this bad boy stops meeting my needs. That's good and bad. The Antec Sonata III was a nice, mid-range case in 2007, but there have been a lot of advances in case manufacture that I'd like to look into. First-world problem...
Failing
Pros: Slim, convenient
Cons: Started failing at 1 year
Overall Review: Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, but I used the hub without changing cables, so I felt that there wouldn't be the wear that that can cause. Well, it didn't matter, as the slots are losing their connectivity. I'm down to 1 and trying to work on a replacement.
Nice until it stopped working
Pros: Worked as advertised for about a year
Cons: Started showing artifacts after a year Stopped working after about 20 months
Overall Review: The card was fine and worked just like all of the reviews and advertisements indicated that it should for about a year. After that, there were some strange artifacts flickering on the screen from time to time. They weren't terribly annoying, nor persistent, and testing revealed that the card was working fine. About a week ago, I came back to the computer after letting it sit for several hours (not uncommon) and the entire screen was white with multi-color vertical lines. I let it rest overnight and things worked great until this afternoon. The white screen and variegated vertical lines were back and would not go away. I inserted an older card and everything worked fine. The other card, however, is much older (though there are no artifacts and things are humming along nicely outside of the gaming aspect, which is a non-starter).
First one broke
Pros: It charged everything well while it was working
Cons: -It malfunctioned inside of a week (I changed its location and it started pulse charging, going on and off a couple times per second) -It was a little more bulky than it needed to be
Overall Review: Having several different charger models, I don't know why so many are so much more bulky than they seem to need to be. I have a couple that have very nice form factors that fit behind furniture so that only the cables need be visible. Others... not so much. This one is mid-range on bulk.
