Great value; dubious controls
Pros: Great image quality for the price. Very thin and lightweight. Matte finish is very effective at reducing reflections from light sources behind you.
Cons: The controls are hidden underneath and are difficult to find. They are labelled black-on-black, so the labeling is essentially worthless: you have to memorize where the controls are and what they do. The monitor stand has no adjustments, so you may have to put it on a stack of books the way I did. The monitor is so light that pressing the (hidden) on/off control can cause the entire monitor to wobble precariously (particularly if it's on a stack of books). It helps if you steady the monitor with one hand while turning it off with the other. The matte finish is quite "matte" and probably reduces the sharpness relative to a more shiny monitor. But not unacceptably. Don't get me wrong: I still think this is a good value. I had one at work and based on my impressions of the image quality for the money, I went ahead and bought one for home, even knowing its foibles up-front.
