Good customer service!

Pros: Easy connection No OS jiggering Fast enough Feature set seems well thought out
Cons: Slow writing times Setup is a little nonobvious
Overall Review: I've had two of these for just over a year. Just after the year (& warranty) was up, one of them displayed a message which I found on the internet meant a board failure. I contacted Sans Digital via email and they confirmed that it was probably a board problem. They asked that I send it in and they'd honor the warranty even though it was technically out of warranty (assuming of course, that it wasn't abused, etc). I did that and in a short time a repaired unit arrived which is working fine. This thing isn't a screamer. It reads fast enough to supply DVD-quality video though. The write times are understandably slower. I run these in RAID 1 mode (mirroring) with two 1TB server drives and I have no complaints with performance. One is connected via eSATA to an XP machine and the other to a QNAP server via USB. The product works well for the price and unlike some of the reviews here, I've nothing but good experience with their customer service. I'll recommend the product and company.
No spindle

Pros: RiData does make good discs
Cons: These discs arrive WITHOUT A SPINDLE!! Despite the description that says "Spindle Disc", there is no spindle to hold them together. In shipping the plastic shrink around them broke and the discs were scattered through the box. Several of them appear scratched beyond use. In retrospect I see the photograph doesn't show a spindle, but it never occurred to me that they'd end up shipping loose in the box. I'm disappointed in Newegg for not making this clear.
Overall Review: If Newegg mentioned in the description that these were simply bulk CDs and not packaged in a spindle instead of putting the word "spindle" in the description, I would have ordered something else instead.
Worked well for a while, then just crapped out

Pros: I installed a Bluray recorder in the case and it worked well for a while. Installing a drive in the case was quite simple.
Cons: It's been a few months now and it crapped out. The power supply is okay - the installed drive powers up but the USB interface is dead to the world. It had been intermittent at one point with my Windows 8 machine and now it's a doorstop.
Overall Review: I may end up having to buy another just to be able to read my backups but I'm not happy about pouring more money down a rathole.
Exactly as described

Pros: A perfect fit for the Acer Chromebook C710, it comes with an outside pocket and is as well made as any other neoprene case.
Cons: I was hoping it might be a little thicker. As it is, it doesn't offer much protection. The pocket is just barely big enough for the wall wart the C710 came with - it may not hold a larger power supply.
Overall Review: There was a piece of foam inside for shipping and it turns out that if you leave it there it offers a good amount of stiffness and protection for the computer. I paid about 1/2 the price of any other case for this one and it was a deal that I'd do again in a second. Cases that are specifically designed for 11.6" Chromebooks are rare - especially ones with an outside pocket for the power supply.
Good enough for the task

Pros: Small, inexpensive, quiet and fast enough for everything except gaming and playing videos. It seems well built and the hardware works exactly as you'd expect.
Cons: It would have been nicer as a barebone. I didn't want the 160G hard drive (put in an SSD instead) and I didn't need to pay for a copy of Windows. It doesn't come with drivers for the wireless Atheros network card on the CD - you have to download them yourself, but they are on the website.
Overall Review: I didn't look at the included hard drive to see what was on it, so I'll assume that the install experience would have had drivers for the wireless. I only gave it 4 out of 5 because I would have preferred a chance to buy this without the memory or the hard drive, but that wasn't an option. Still, I'll find a use for the drive and I can live with the 1G of RAM.
Worked fine until it started not working

Pros: Easy to install, included software wasn't too bad. Fast, seems compatible with just about everything.
Cons: After about 6 months, it stopped reading CDs. It's still okay with DVDs and Blu-rays, but if you put in a CD, it just seeks around and gives up.
Good vendor
Curiously, when the purchase was confirmed, the tracking number that came from the vendor was useless gibberish. The number meant nothing on any carrier. The box did arrive in a timely fashion via UPS. The box did have a valid tracking number on the label. The item was nicely packed and arrived in good condition. I'd buy from them again, but I know I won;t be able to track the item.
