MSI Laptop Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 4GB Memory 320GB HDD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 17.0" Windows Vista Home Premium GT725-074US

Pros: Everything is very fast for how much it costs. This is a very quick notebook here. Everything on it functions either at normal rating or exceeds it. Speakers, processor, video, keyboard, build... it's all there or above.

Cons: Although this thing can game VERY GPU intensive games, other games such as Prototype and GTA rely a lot on its CPU. The CPU is not as fast as it could have been on this particular model. I understand that things can be swapped out and blah blah into a quad core, but for this model, the processor will lag on the above games. Turning turbo on does seem to help quite a bit. The processor itself is not weak by any means, but it is one of the slower parts of the computer.

Overall Review: Call of Duty 4 and 5 both run great. I can max out the graphics with Anti-Alias and native resolution. Prototype runs on highest settings with turbo button. Without turbo I seem to lose a few FPS when my character is running by a busy intersection. The heat cooling on this thing has been great so far. I have no heat issues other than the upper right part of the keyboard. Although if you buy this, you probably intend to by a cooler anyways, which has done wonders for me. I actually just use a small usb fan that blows air under and on top of the notebook keyboard plane. Just a heads up though, I don't yet have the latest drivers installed, which of course means my notebook is not running at its prime. Perhaps after installing all the needed drivers, the notebook will perform better on certain games. Still... this thing should be able to play all the latest games on high or near-high settings. I'm sure this will last me a few more years also.

Nice Cooler

BYTECC Adjustable + 4ports USB Hub Quiet Notebook Cooler NC-768
BYTECC Adjustable + 4ports USB Hub Quiet Notebook Cooler NC-768

Pros: The cooler keeps my laptop cooler, pretty much anywhere from 2 to 10 degrees celsius cooler. It has 4 ports, which are awesome since I am running all my equipment wireless through the ports.

Cons: The spinner on the bottom is too loose. I wish there was a way to lock and unlock it. The fans are angled in such a way that my vent only sucks in minimal air... one of the fans aren't even being used.

Overall Review: If my laptop is idling or running undemanding programs, the cooler is only slightly noticeable. However, at higher demands, the cooler seems to be more efficient. For low-end games my video cards drops for 63 celsius to 59-ish celsius. On higher end stuff, it can drop from 69-75 celsius to 60-62 celius. I assume that the cooler was meant to stabilize a laptop at a certain degree. In my case, the video card always runs around 60 celsius. So if its below 60, than very little happens, whereas a lot will be happening when it reaches above 60.

Neat

Logitech LX7 5 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Optical 1000 dpi Mouse

Pros: It has great freedom with it's wireless usb. The mouse is fast and very accurate. I haven't found any surface that the mouse could not run on yet.

Cons: It is a bit narrow, just a tad bit. It is large enough to handle, but it is skinnier than my original mouse. I can use it fine though, probably takes a day or two to get used to.

Overall Review: I do not use the adapter thing. That is a nice feature, but I am using this product as a completely wireless item. Only thing plugged in is the smaller usb stick.
