Get this rather than the oem drive!
Pros: Cheaper than the OEM version of this drive. Drive interfaces with dock via a standard sata data and power connector meaning if the dock dies you can still easily access your data. USB 3.0.
Cons: Case can be hard to take apart if you just want the drive out of it. You'll need a plastic prying tool if you want to leave the enclosure intact.
STILL NOT STABLE YET!!!
Pros: Fast--ATTO says I get up to 1060 MB/s for 2 of these in RAID 0.
Cons: My 1123/1124 revision raid array is getting BSOD's every 30 minutes or so. Not sure which drive it is, but both are supposed to be the "fixed" ones.
Overall Review: Fast drives...but they're still not stable enough yet to warrant buying.
Stay away from bios 1.51
Pros: Inexpensive, includes wifi adapter
Cons: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR blue screen while under load with the 1.51 bios and stock settings. When I roll back to 1.50 I don't have this issue. I'm guessing the "power savings" they implemented in the newest revision cuts back on CPU voltage and causes unstable overclock type instability. Also in the bios, the fan control seems extensive, but doesn't work well with PWM fans for some odd reason. 3-pin fans can be easily controlled, but my 4-pin pwm intel stock fan range from 1100-2000 on silent mode, 1300-2100 on standard, and custom doesn't seem to do anything. Finally, the wi-fi system is poorly implemented. First you mount the card to the board with a small metal bracket and screws that require a glasses sized Phillips head. Then you clip on the standard tiny antenna mounting points (not Asrock's fault but still tough to do). Lastly you have to pop two holes for the antenna out of the i/o shield and have them just kind of hang out there. Since the outer antenna male connector and the backing that's in the case doesn't have a solid fit you can't rotate the antenna 90 degrees and have it hold its place like most wireless antenna.
Overall Review: Cheap board that works. Just don't expect great quality.
Loud but unlocks
Pros: Fast card when you let the fan run where it wants and all 4 of my cards unlocked to 290x's. Getting about 815 Khash/s litecoin mining with default clocks, 32765 TC, with fans and TDP set to max.
Cons: About a 300w power draw, loud fan, and long un-attractive card. In addition 1 of the 4 cards is not stable during litecoin mining.
Overall Review: Not worth the $500 Newegg wants for it now, but worth the $400 msrp if you don't mind the noise. I'd recommend setting the fans to 60% if you don't want them throttling at all.
Good as new
Pros: Great build quality and is in like new condition. Nice weaved cable with blue usb cable to make it easier to tell where it's plugged in. Just enough buttons for the FPS player with easy to adjust dpi. Not software needed for buttons.
Cons: Mouse may be too small for some and seems to be designed for a claw-style grip.
Good drive for the money.
Pros: One of the least expensive drives for the money. Good read speeds with Samsung reliability. Samsung software.
Cons: Not that much cheaper than the superior EVO. Write speeds are pre SATA6 levels.
