Best bang for the bug in an Intel CPU
Pros: i7 performance with 4C/8T at an i5 price. If you don't need integrated graphics you can't go wrong with this CPU.
Cons: None!
Overall Review: Paired with an ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP motherboard. Should work on most consumer grade boards that support Ivy Bridge. I picked the ASRock because it specifically listed this CPU as a compatible CPU.
Failed after 1 day of use
Pros: It didn't catch on fire? Hard to come up with a "Pro" for this drive.
Cons: Experienced File system corruption after one day. Formatted the drive, and got a corrupt file system on the 3rd subsequent reboot.
Overall Review: I was leery of this drive initially, and I should have stuck with my gut and ordered something else, now I have to go through the hassle or an RMA.
Just beautiful!
Pros: Great colors, bright, crisp and clear.
Cons: None
Overall Review: My first IPS panel. Admittedly, I've never learned as much about monitors as I should - I've always just got the biggest monitor I could afford at whatever time (and usually whatever was on sale). I decided I'd had enough of 16:9 1080P displays and I wanted a 16:10 24" to be primary to my old 16:10 22" HANNSPree. I will probably just buy another one of these now :-)
Great value
Pros: Great price/features.
Cons: None - I would've liked eSata, but at this price, not a complaint.
Overall Review: Great balance of price and features. I've only recently used a few ASRock boards, both for myself and builds for friends after using nothing but Gigabyte in the past. I've been very pleased with the 4 ASRock boards I've built systems with in the past few years. As long as they keep making quality boards at an excellent price point, I will be a repeat customer.
Very Dissapointed
Pros: Clean design, 2x120mm fans, not flashy. Good price.
Cons: Flimsy metal, bad drive mounting system (especially for 2.5" SSD)
Overall Review: This is probably the worst case I've ever built a machine in. I should've went with the old standy Antec 300 which I've built 2 machines of mine in...I wanted to try something different, and I liked the way this looked at the features on paper. I cut myself twice building this system, and the metal is extremely flimsy. Also, the 3.5" HDD mounting mechanism is very flimsy, and one of my drives really didn't get secured all that well at all. The mounting for the 2.5" drive is a joke, I couldn't even get to the front two screws, so the drive is only secured with two screws. The MOBO standoffs didn't go in well, and I wasn't sure if everything was going to line up at all, but it did. In short, I got the machine put together, but I would never use this case again, and I may even switch out this machine into a better enclosure eventually.
Great value, plenty of features, good performance
Pros: I've never been into buying super high-end motherboards. I buy the cheapest thing with the features I want that seems to have a positive good/bad rating ratio. This is my second ASRock motherboard, and I'm very pleased. It has my (non-k) 3770 running at 4.1GHz rock solid (using the turbo overclock of setting it to 41 multi for all cores active).
Cons: None I can think of.
