Why it won't charge your battery
Pros: The reason it won't charge the battery on your Dell is probably due to the fact that it doesn't have the center pin on the plug. Dell Inspiron 1150 and 5150 laptops I know for sure use this center pin, it's a Data Pin.
Cons: If your laptop uses a center pin to tranmit data to the laptop about the AC Adapter, then NO aftermarket adapter that I know of will charge your battery. This might not be the case for you and this adapter but I thought I'd toss this in for anyone else looking for an aftermarket adapter.
Overall Review: Especially if they are looking for one for an 1150 or 5150, 5160 etc.
Watch out for EVGA
Pros: I was pleased with it when I first got it, worked like what I thought was fine. Just very pleased all around and no issues at all. My rating is a result of EVGA and the product itself. Starting getting artifacts on the screen...read on
Cons: Card worked fine but I got ripped off. I F'd up and didn't buy from NewEgg which has turned into a big mistake on my part. I bought somewhere else...someone pulled a switch-a-roo and I got this recertified card in a new box. I tossed out my receipt and after contacting EVGA for replacement...was denied.
Overall Review: Denied because they said my card didn't come from where I said I bought it and I didn't have a receipt. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT OR BUY IT HERE. EVGA won't even offer to repair/replace at my cost...how does that hit you? Read their forums also...lots of problems with their mobo's as well. Just because of this card I won't ever buy another EVGA product unless they offer some real help on this card. They don't tell you that you don't get a FULL warranty on a recertified card either...which is what this card is.
Customer Service Stinks
Pros: I'm not rating this case but another one that is very much like it. The one I'm commenting on is the 82-4HL-BLACK which I don't believe the Egg carries. For good reason too...it's as shotty a case as this one seems to be also. Stay away from Broadway Computer Cases... On a plus...it favors an Antec by the look...
Cons: It's not an Antec or any other good case. These people's customer service lacks...lacks ain't even a good word but it's the nicest thing I can think to say.
Overall Review: Broadway wouldn't replace the LCD in my case nor would they even sell me one. What kind of dookie company is that? When you come out the gate asking to just be sold a part and didn't even ask for a warranty claim and they say NO. You know you're dealing with, well you put some dirty words here, when they say we can't replace it under warranty and you say "I just want to buy it to go into this case, that's all"..and they say NO.
Better Deal Than I Thought
Pros: Cheap price good for a budget build & easy for a novice to set-up and get going. Covers the basics (I think) of what you'd want in a budget PC. Fit perfect in a spare Dell Dimension 4500 case.
Cons: USB ports useless. Everytime I plug something into these ports the system restarts no matter what settings I try or what I plug into them. Which is why I picked "average" instead of "excellent".
Overall Review: For the cheap price I decided not to RMA this board and attempted to repair the port problem myself which led to a PCI USB card...ha-ha. Still a very good deal and I'm rather surprised and pleased with this board. Not top of the line but it's really a good deal @ a good price.
