It's a bit small

ADATA Premier SP600 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ASP600S3-32GM-C
ADATA Premier SP600 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ASP600S3-32GM-C

Pros: For the first time using an SSD, it's not too bad. It does have better speeds than a 7200 rpm HD, and I've had no problems with the installation or use, even with a clean wipe and re-install of the OS. It is pretty good for a budget box.

Cons: It is small. I do not recommend using it for any Windows OS, unless you plan on putting nothing but the absolute bare necessities. I have all of my document and program folders moved to my 1tb hard drive, but with the basic drivers and a select few utilities, I have less than 1 gb remaining. I should have listened to the other reviews and ratings, but figured I'd give it a shot. I now have a 128gb on order and will likely try to use this as a Linux drive. For a lighter OS, it will hopefully work, but I don't recommend it for Windows.

Overall Review: Overall, it's not too bad, but 32gb is getting outdated very quickly. I still gave it 5 stars due to value for the price, but, larger drives are dropping in price and I highly recommend going that route.

Most Critical Review

Almost a year

VIZIO VTAB1008 512MB RAM Memory 8.0" 1024 x 768 Tablet Android
VIZIO VTAB1008 512MB RAM Memory 8.0" 1024 x 768 Tablet Android

Pros: I bought two units for my daughters' (Age 10 and 7)Christmas gifts last year. For the price, this tablet has fairly good performance, and both, when working, have performed well with any app they have tried, as well as a few movies and shows on Netflix. The graphic quality is also decent. Sturdy: The deal that I got near the end of last year included a nice "leather" case, so with that included, it has withstood their abuse. The same cannot be said for my iPad 2.

Cons: Neither unit is charger friendly. I have experienced the same types of problems with a few cell phones, but after a few years of use, not new out of the box. I realize that as these are refurb's, they aren't exactly new, but I would think that was an integral part they would refurbish. You have to get just the right charger, at just the right angle, for them to charge effectively. Sometimes the charge lights will come on, and will soon show full bars, but will die within a few minutes. Even with a good, full charge, the battery life does not impress. One of the transformers fell apart a few months ago. Nothing a little tape can't fix, but disappointing nonetheless. My youngest daughters tablet has the worst charging port, and crashes all the time. I believe three times this year I have had to completely reset the unit after we were able to get it charged. There is a possibility it would be more, but I think she has given up on using it at all.

Overall Review: As these are going on sale again, I thought I should submit my review for anyone considering this purchase. For a first tablet, these were sufficient, and I wish Vizio would build a newer unit with the same durability and modern performance. As it stands, I am shopping for another brand for each of them this Christmas, and will pass the better working one to my 3 year old. The current price of just under three figures is a little high. If it dropped another $20-30, I might consider these for a beginner tablet. Even so, as they are only available as refurbs, and the technology is becoming more outdated, it would still be difficult. If these dropped to $50, I would have no problem with a recommendation and feel it is worth rolling the dice. Any more than that and I suggest shopping for other units.

Not too shabby

VIZIO VTAB1008-B 8" Refurbished Tablet

Pros: I bought two of the Vizio tabs for Christmas presents. My daughters are the primary users of the tablets, but I have had enough time using it to make a proper judgement. The screen size is very good. I like the slightly smaller proportions compared to my full size iPad. I also like the droid OS better. Feels very sturdy and battery life is okay. Clarity and resolution are very nice. Parental Controls and the remote control are very useful apps. Expandable memory is great.

Cons: Speed is lacking, but not really a con for the price. Apps flow okay, but start-up lag is very noticeable. One of the charging ports is tight, but not dysfunctional. The Wifi antennas seem to be a little quirky, but I haven't had a real problem with the range. For instance, last night I was in the far end of our house from the router and had one bar. I moved to one room over and only had two. However, I know I have had more bars at various times. This is with consideration to other devices pulling their normal bandwidth at the same time. I have never completely lost signal from an unlikely distance.

Overall Review: I am comparing to an iPad 2 that I received as a gift last Christmas. For the price, these are very nice. If I was the full-time user, the lag would be annoying, but my girls have no problem with it. Some of the apps don't want to cooperate, but it is hard to tell if it is the apps compatibility or a problem with the tablet. So, all being considered, I gave the five-star review for the value. Not that it is the best, but it is a very good tablet for the price. If anything drastic happens, I will provide an update.

First Bluetooth

LG Over-the-ear Bluetooth Headset with Dual Microphone Technology Silver Bulk (HBM-570)
LG Over-the-ear Bluetooth Headset with Dual Microphone Technology Silver Bulk (HBM-570)

Pros: Clarity is very good. There are times that I hear static in the headset (while my phone is in my pocket), but I haven't had anyone on the other end complain of noise. I work outdoors, so wind and environment sounds could be a problem. Very lightweight and the earpieces can be adjusted four ways. I do have a smaller ear canal than most and the round one fits comfortably.

Cons: Battery life is nowhere near what I expected. I can only use the headset one day and it MUST be charged every night. Today was my highest actual talk time and I had maybe 1 hour total. I tried using it a second day after about 15 mins. talk the first day, and at 10AM it was dead.

Overall Review: For the price, I don't think it is worth returning to try for another. The headset doesn't receive music from my Incognito, but that may not be the headset's problem, so it is in this section. Really the only complaint is battery life. It will last all day with "light" use, but don't expect anymore than that.
