This review is from: Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Memory for Apple Model KTA-MB1333/4G
Pros: Worked without issue in iMac 2011. Bought 2 sticks and added them with the original sticks for 12GB total and Memtest passes fine.
Other Thoughts: I had originally bought Mushkin equivalent to these but they came up with errors in memtest - bad ram. I returned them and bought these Kingston sticks and I'm glad I did.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Corsair P256 2.5" 256GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CMFSSD-256GBG2D
Pros: - Blazing fast out of the box
- Not victim to stuttering like some SSD
- Good price in comparison to similar SSD
Cons: - Did not achieve the full advertised 220 MB/s read out of box, was only 200 MB/s
- Victim to slowdowns after drive fills up
- Will degrade to ~160 MB read until Samsung comes out with firmware update to fix this
Other Thoughts: I've been using this drive for about 3 months now, Installed Windows 7 RC, then Vista, then Vista again, then Windows 7 RTM. Each time, I would use about 110GB space on the drive. Now, when I run HDTune to test speeds, I'm down to 160 MB/s. So I did some research into the problem and it seems its a known issue and Corsair is waiting for Samsung to release a firmware update. You can read more about the problem affecting some drives over at Anandtech. Some of the OCZ drives have garbage collection which keeps the drives running fast.
I hope to see a firmware update soon that should fix the problem I'm having.
