Awesome
Pros: Great Media player plays all my AVI's and MKV files no problem gives you a preview of your movie file before you select it. It gives different digital out selections. It has a full remote with Zoom options in it and a real power button on the front of the unit and Volume control.
Cons: It will not ask you to replay movie from where you stopped you have to fast forward from the start of the movie, but it does 32x which is great. It's bigger than I thought it's about the size of an external Hard Drive which is big compared to a WDTV box.
Overall Review: I have several WDTV Media Players which are great. I have problems with the audio in MKV files on the WDTV. ViewSonic seems to have gotten this right. I have owned those other Media Players with Hard Drives in them they are the worst IMO. Buy one you will not regret it. Now all that's left for ViewSonic is the reliability Hopefully it will last. I had my WDTV's for about a year now Western Digital has been great on supporting their Media Players with Firmware updates they just have not gotten the MKV formats down packed yet. ViewSonic is the upstart the new cool kid on the block, I hope they have good support like WD does than it's a no brainier
780g and this card no go
Pros: easy install runs at 1680x1050
Cons: It keeps shuting off my on-board when installed will not do Hybrid Crossfire X which is why I purchased this card.
Overall Review: Hi everybody dose anybody know anything about Hybrid Crossfire X, I can not get it to work. I just built an AMD 780g Hybrid system for everyday use. Here is my build a Sapphire 780g, Diamond 512mb HD3450 SB edition, AMD X2 4400 2.5ghz Dual CPU, 3gb FireStix DDR2 800, Seagate 320gb, Pioneer DVD Burner, Microfly Ultra with 600w PSU come with 8pin EPS, and MS Vista Premium 64bit. I thought it was something you were supposed to enable in the Catalyst Control center but that's not the case I can only do either the integrated or the 3450 which is not good. I have taken the unit apart several times and no luck. Would appreciate any help at all with this problem. It's a really nice board the Sapphire but I just have not been able to figure it out it has me befuddled.
Dear tetsuol
Pros: Tetsuol you need to do a little more research when ever you read OEM it means it's a plain drive. Every once in awhile a manufacture may include a copy of NERO or they may give you a cable but they do not have to. ASUS makes good DVD Drives I had some in the past.
Cons: none yet
Overall Review: Tetsuol you may want to contact ASUS they might send you a cable if you tell them you are a NOOB and explain you situation. Good Luck and wish you the best.
Great Drives
Pros: WD Green Drives are great drives for backup and storage use them in external enclosures and they run cool put them stacked on top of one another and they run cool
Cons: none yet all have worked
Overall Review: The Black series work great as a primary drive so do the Blue series, Green drives are for storage. If you have a case with 4 to 5, 3.5 HDD bays make your primary or top bay a Black series and the others in between Green and you will not regret it they stay cool.
Nice Case
Pros: Great case for the money nice cable management wires are long enough to reach the motherboard. Great Color cool looking powder coat on the inside. The case is light yet sturdy. Nice front facing HD mount.
Cons: It was not free
Overall Review: For those of you guys complaining about the top fan mounts I had no problem installing 2 140mm Aerocooler fans they are slim and move a lot of air. As for the side panel when you install a 120mm fan it becomes nice and sturdy. Those of you complaining about the front facing HD mount all my wires are to the back of the case. Oh by the way make sure you use angle sata data connectors otherwise you just might break the connection on your HD :-( lol
Loyal Costumer
Pros: Great little laser printer easy to setup what more can you ask for.
Cons: It was not free
Overall Review: I swear by Newegg. I tell all my friends and family to shop at Newegg. But I was a little surprised by the Hard OCP article about Newegg selling Fake Intel CPU's. I was like no this can not be not true Newegg, so I did some more research and found more articles on Newegg and there new costumer support team and how they are not living up to there reputation lately and treating costumers badly. Please Newegg do not let this be true you guys are the best and always had the best support team. Please address these allegations contact Hard OCP anyone can make a mistake and things happen but correcting them makes all the difference in the world. I believe in your company. I really do not want to see you guys drop off. My guess is most of your business is done through the internet, about 85% if not more is internet, while magazine Ads encompass maybe 5% and word of mouth is worth about 10%. Please do the right thing.
