EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 1500 Classified 80 PLUS GOLD Certified 1500W Active PFC ATX12V v2.31/EPS 12V v2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Full Modular PSU 5 Year Warranty 120-PG-1500-VR NEW 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready Power Supply

Pros: Got the PSU for a decent price considering the wattage.

Cons: Connecting the graphics cards didn't work initially.

Overall Review: I tried several times, several different cards and several different slots on my mobo but to my surprise, the graphics cards were failing to be recognized. I contacted EVGA tech support and they were super helpful. They even gave me the advice I needed to make the graphics cards work properly with the mobo. None of those items other than the PSU were their products. I will purchase EVGA again.

Most Critical Review

Thermaltake Toughpower isn't that tough

Thermaltake Toughpower XT TPX-1275M 1275 W ATX 12V 2.3 & SSI EPS 12V 2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
Thermaltake Toughpower XT TPX-1275M 1275 W ATX 12V 2.3 & SSI EPS 12V 2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Runs most hardware well. Good semi-modular design.

Cons: Difficulty with video cards. See below.

Overall Review: I use this power supply for a mining rig. I have only 3 7950 ATI video cards. Nothing fancy, just a simple SSD, RAM, MB, PSU, 3 GPUs and a CPU. 1275 W should be more than sufficient to run all of the hardware. I tried to OC my GPUs and they fail. The PSU can't provide enough power to the cards to support the OCing. This is a major problem! If you have some demanding applications, do NOT go with this PSU.

Great card for scrypt mining

GIGABYTE Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card GV-R928XOC-3GD REV2
GIGABYTE Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card GV-R928XOC-3GD REV2

Pros: I've been scrypt mining for a while now and own a bunch of different cards. This is by far the best card I've bought yet. So simple to plug in, hone and mine. I have had no problems and no concerns. The three fans run silent, it's a nice design and the cards stay cool (<=72 C°).

Cons: None that I have seen yet.

Overall Review: I have tried several other 280X brands available on Newegg and this is the card you want, hands down.

Do not buy this combo!

Rosewill RKM-1000RF (RIKB-11005) 2.4 GHz Wireless Slim Keyboard and Mouse Combo
Rosewill RKM-1000RF (RIKB-11005) 2.4 GHz Wireless Slim Keyboard and Mouse Combo

Pros: Works...for a little bit.

Cons: Loses connection to the dongle. The mouse bounces around. No On/Off switch. Cheap feel. Keyboard keys are hard to press and when they are pressed, do not always respond.

Overall Review: I have had this keyboard and mouse combo now for a month or so and do not like it at all. It has a chincy feel, chincy look and does not work very or at all sometimes! For a week or two, it worked well and there were no issues but then it started going. The mouse bounced around the screen, started to lose connection and then not respond at all. The keyboard buttons sometimes work and sometimes do not when they are pressed. The buttons are hard to press and if not pressed hard enough, they will not respond. Sometimes the keys don't respond regardless. I contacted Rosewill customer support and they were unable/unwilling to help me with my problems. I will not be purchasing ANY Rosewill products again.
