Great Little Case!

Rosewill R101-P-BK-450W MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case, come with 1x 120mm Fan, 450W Power Supply
Rosewill R101-P-BK-450W MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case, come with 1x 120mm Fan, 450W Power Supply

Pros: I expected a fuctional budget case but I was favorably impressed when I unpacked it. MOST of the sharp edges were gone and it was sturdier than I expected. Case wiring and power supply were straight forward and included thumscrews for one side of the case. One 120MM fan included and room for another in the front of the case. If you remove the bezel and mount it on that side it does not interfere with hdd placement. Vent on the side includes a plastic tunnel for fresh air to go right to the cpu, nicely squared at the end to fit right over a square cpu cooler.. Adequate number of SATA power, (4-pin) cpu power, 6 pin pcie. etc. Great for a Micro ATX. Power supply LOOKS better than expected too, not as flimsy as budget PSs we've all seen. I'll let you know how long it lasts...

Cons: none at the moment

Overall Review: A nice Micro case with 450w and front usb and audio for around $50 with free shipping? I'm satisfied...

Most Critical Review

really disappointed

MSI Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card R6770-MD1GD5
MSI Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card R6770-MD1GD5

Pros: Worked great at first, brought the windows experience index from a 3.4 to a 5.9 on my asus box with m785g mobo with 8gb of corsair ram. Newegg's shipping and customer service was fine as usual.

Cons: Turned my rock solid box into scrap.. Started shutting off then not starting up. Would power up but never boot into bios. Removed the card and was able to recover. Did this a couple times (foolishly) hoping I could get the right driver, etc. MSI driver worked at first, installing the amd/ati catalyst driver finally killed it. Now can't even get into bios with card removed.

Overall Review: Tried too long to fix it, 30 days are up now so can't expect any help from newegg. I have to see what MSI will do for me. Won't matter much if I have to start from scratch. I've stuck by ati for years in spite of their never getting their drivers right.. Feels like a big mistake at this point

Not so disappointed any more ;-}

MSI Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card R6770-MD1GD5
MSI Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card R6770-MD1GD5

Pros: Works well after initial headaches. (apparently NOT the card's fault) Good price/performance ratio, appears solidly and efficiently constructed, matches my asus motherboard (trivial, I know) Again WEI went from 3.4 to 7.3 (graphics only) Ultimately, now that the pain has passed, I'm very pleased

Cons: I thought this card fried my stable, reliable ASUS/AMD box.. Saved it by replacing my bios for $16. Works fine now so I suspect the software

Overall Review: I felt obligated to print a retraction as the hardware seems fine now. I see MSI has taken a few back via RMA (perhaps a little too early) We'll never know for sure, but I strongly suspect the MSI "live update" software. I deleted that and the msi drivers (just in case, they seemed to be working) and went with the latest catalyst driver and all is well at the moment. (Failed to load the hdmi audio driver but that's not an issue for me at this time. Maybe it didn't load as it didn't detect an hdmi connection or device)

AWESOME BOX!

ASUS V3-M3A3200 AMD Socket AM2+ / AM2 AMD 780G 1 x HDMI Barebone
ASUS V3-M3A3200 AMD Socket AM2+ / AM2 AMD 780G 1 x HDMI Barebone

Pros: Pre-assembled mobo, ps, card reader, and case... Appeals to my character flaws.. CHEAP and LAZY. No time or effort to set up, runs like a champ with no difficulty at all. Can handle new phenom II or hybrid crossfire with ati vid card. Unbelievable deal. No sign of being underpowered. Set up was by the numbers with clean install of XP pro. No glitches using drivers provided on the asus disc. (They were the newest I could find anyway)

Cons: I've got NOTHING bad to say about this box! Sure its small, but once set up, how often you want to mess around in there anyway? Takes up less space in the office.

Overall Review: using XP pro, 4 gigs corsair 800mghz, X2 5800+, 640 gig SATA WD caviar drive, picked up an open box thermaltake cpu cooler for FIVE BUCKS! Chipsets or cpu barely warm to the touch. No OC, no need at present. I'm waiting for price on Phenom II to go down a bit.. I LOVE NEW EGG! All arrived in 3 days (I'm cheap, remember..no extra cash for rush service)
