zoooooooooom
Pros: As fast and reliable as anything you can imagine. It's quiet!! (hahaha, just had to say that *wink*)
Cons: Doesn't come with a 3.5" tray - but, so what, right? Right.
Overall Review: From the time I press the power button, to surfing the web = 15 seconds. I run a 128GB version of this in my work laptop - used to on Wednesday's, the first half of the day was MISERABLE! This is virus scan day (yes, they have our computers jacked up to scan the entire disk on Wednesdays) - and trying to work during this scan (which took hours) was PAINFULLY agravating. Since I put this drive in, I totally forgot Wed was virus scan day. Every program starts up the first time, likes it's already cached into RAM. You know what I mean, right? - These Crucial SSD's are • Extremely fast • Reliable • Excellently priced - Buy these by the handfuls... I did.
Not a lasting keyboard
Pros: It's just really nice to use. Best keyboard feel I've ever used. Additional program buttons and customizable buttons is nice. I use the SILVER buttons ALL THE TIME.
Cons: Reliability. These keyboards do not last. Period. I've used these keyboards for about 5 years now. I've thrown 2 out from keys dying, and 1 needs to be thrown out because 80% of the keys have no markings. . • Apparently random circuits go out which affect a number of keys accross the keyboard. You'll just be working one day and a half dozen or so keys stop working. • Letters rub off WAY too easy. You'll have blank keys within 6 months (if you're a heavy typer like myself).
Overall Review: I will still continue to use these keyboards for as long as they make them, just because they are that comfortable for me to use. I love them. I REALLY wish they were more reliable. Prior to this line of keyboards, I had the old cream color Microsoft natural keyboard with black letters. I used that keyboard for about 6 years and never rubbed any keys blank, or it skipped a beat. I don't know why they can't make these keyboards like they did back then. . I keep a spare on on hand now in my hardware closet for "when" one goes bad on me, I can replace it immediately and not have to wait (and I know I will too).
18k Frame Rate!!! 3D BEAST!!!
Pros: This thing is AMAZING! It is a 3D gamers DREAM! I can play Wolfenstein 3D – AND – use note pad, get this… AT THE SAME TIME! The frames per second BROKE while doing a Wolfenstein 3D bench test… It had an “overflow” error. Last valid FPS I saw was 18,000… Mind boggling! They say, this thing is capable of video editing? So I was playing a video game, and opened up a notepad file. Was able to edit it!!! I was soooo stoked!!! Until……. They also said, and I quote, “Handles anything I can throw at it!” which leads to the cons.
Cons: WARNING! Does NOT handle anything you throw at it! I threw a brick at it… and sure enough, it smashed it to pieces. I tried to RMA it, but they told me the warranty was void!! *sad face* I would advise to “not” take anyone’s advice to throw anything at this CPU. Bad idea!
Overall Review: Honestly, I don’t see why ANYONE would want to over-clock their computers… I tried this the first day I got mine. Set my clock 3 hours ahead… I was THREE HOURS EARLY FOR WORK the next day!!!! Who in their right mind would want to do this, purposely?? I do not OC any more. You guys are nuts. I recommend this CPU. Especially if you are a 3D gamer and do editing. Even if you happened to listen to some goobers advice and throw something at it, and break it… Yes, I bought a replacement. I had to replace the motherboard also… apparently, they cannot handle stuff being thrown at them either!!! *facepalm*
GREAT modem....
Pros: VERY reliable! Super FAST speed! Super easy setup with Comcast.
Cons: BRIGHT LED lights. WAY TOO bright! You'll have to put something in fron of it (that doesn't reflect much light either).
Overall Review: No need to write a long winded review on this product. I used (rented) comcast modems for 8 years (yea, dumb move), and regularly had to reboot them (at least once per month, because they would just stop working. Got this 8 months ago and have yet to have to reboot this modem ONCE since have owned this. .. My bandwidth is supposed to be 12Mbps. I regularly download at a sustained 3.8-3.5 MB/s (~30Mbps). I downloaded a 15GB game from Steam yesterday in about 1.5 hours. FAST!!!!! .. My setup with super easy with comcast. I basically powered all my old gear down. Hooked the new modem up and powered everything back up. Sit there and watched it do its thing... all by itself... and after a couple of minutes, was back online. It activated automatically. You may or may not have to call your provider. We had to call comcast when we installed one at my mother-in-laws house. Only took them a couple of minutes. No hassle at all. .. Buy this. It's a great product.
AWESOME!!!!
Pros: STILL BRAND NEW!! After two years!!!!
Cons: Can't seem to get myself to use this thing.
Overall Review: I've owned this item for more than 2 years, and still haven't taken it out of the box. ... How cool is that? Awesome.
SOLID - Solid state drive
Pros: HIGHLY reliable drives... compared to the other brands.
Cons: Maybe not as fast as some other brands... but speed is the last thing you want to worry about with an SSD. Reliability is KING and this drive is proven.
Overall Review: I have owned 5 Intel drives from 2 to 5 years now (this one for 3 years) and ALL of them have been perfect. Just had a crucial die on me after 2 years. -- The most important factor in buying an SSD is reliability. You can sleep well knowing your computer is running one of these.
