Pros: It is fast. I never got around to running benches on it. And also it was was my first SSD endeavor as well. But I could definitely see an increase overall over other HD's I've used before.

Cons: Constantly causes crashes and all kinds of problems in Windows 7 and Windows 8. Part of the problem was when I bought this SSD HD, I was putting together an almost all new system. And installing Windows 8 for the first time as well. So once I had everything up and running, I had lots and lots of BSOD's and programs freezing up, and just about every kind of problem imaginable. I've been using and building computers for going on 20 years. So after lots and lots of troubleshooting and trying to figure out which new piece of hardware, or if it was Windows 8 that was causing my problems, I finally took out my new SDD and once that was done, everything finally runs problem free! Never in my life had I been so angry at a piece of computer hardware up until now. I have bought lots and lots of Crucial products over the years, in fact I just recently bought about 50 gigs of their ram for 4 computers I recently put together, but somehow I just got really unlucky on this SSD HD from them. :( Unfortunately I am unable to return it due to it being past the RMA date. So I would really love to take a hammer to it instead. :) I'll continue buying from Crucial because I've loved their stuff over the years. But I will definitely be hesitant though the next time and from here on out. I would pass on this HD from them until it maybe has some more positive reviews. I kept my rating to a 2. I would have knocked it all the way down to a 1, but in fairness I gave Crucial a 2 due to their excellent history I've had with them over the years.
