beware of trade-up rebate
Pros: excellent fit, seals out almost all background noise, quite loud
Cons: even the smallest silicone inserts hurt my ears after extended wear (more than a couple hours)
Overall Review: Sennheiser's trade-up rebate ripped me off. I sent in all the required materials and rebate status shows invalid because of no UPC. Now I'm out a perfectly good pair of earbuds I sent in AND I won't be getting my $15 trade-up rebate. Total rip off so make sure you send in headphones that don't work.
ok, but not up to Incipio quality
Pros: Unique look, Incipio quality, Open access to all buttons and ports
Cons: Slippery, Painted faux brushed aluminum isn't durable, Not the best fit
Overall Review: I own three Incipio cases for previous generations of iPhones and all of them are superb, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with this one. Unfortunately I was wrong. This case looks great with the faux aluminum backside and it fits well--except on the left side where the large open hole for the volume buttons and mute slider. Because of this cut-out, the plastic is not rigid enough and doesn't fit as tightly as it does on the right side (where there are no cut-outs). I love that the top and bottom are wide open so all ports and buttons are easily accessible. This can also be a curse because your phone may be damaged if dropped on the top or bottom where the case does not cover the phone. The backside is painted and started chipping away in under two weeks of light use. The phone sits in my pocket with my keys for a few minutes a day while I walk from my car to my office, then sits flat on my desk for the rest of the day. Very unusual wear. The Plexitonium material is very light and rigid but it's also very slippery. The sides are also curved ever so slightly so it's actually difficult to grab quickly when sitting flat on a flat surface. I've actually dropped it twice on my desk when grabbing for it too quickly--fortunately the case provided enough protection so nothing happened to my phone. Overall I'm disappointed with this purchase and have to go through the pains of returning it for a refund so I can buy another case :( I tried to exchange it directly with Incipio but they denied me because I didn't buy it direct from them. Newegg's service is above and beyond as usual though and is the reason this review isn't a 1-star review.
didn't work right out of box
Pros: nice aluminum case doesn't require a cooling fan quiet trusted company
Cons: didn't work
Overall Review: I have this same 3.5" ext. enclosure in the USB 2.0/eSATA model. That one has worked flawlessly so I thought it was a no brainer to upgrade to the USB 3.0 version. Not true. I installed my 2TB drive, plugged it in and powered up. The activity light would blink for half a second then nothing. The enclosure never was able to boot up at all :( I immediately submitted a return auth and shipped the enclosure back the next day for a replacement. Then I started reading other reviews on other Web sites and saw that lots of others had similar problems. So I contacted Newegg and they were able to switch my replacement request to a full refund. I also shipped the return too fast and had to shell out money for shipment. Newegg was nice enough to reimburse me for that as well with a gift card. Thanks Newegg! Service: 5+ stars Product: 1 star
works fine, small enough for me
Pros: Faster than my OCZ Mini-kart 1GB USB drive. Good, locking slide-out mechanism.
Cons: Doesn't have a LED activity light. Tight fit for side-by-side USB ports if you plan to use this drive with other USB devices at the same time.
Overall Review: If you USB ports are stacked, you'll be able to plug something else above or below this drive. If your ports are side-by-side, it may not fit. I knew it didn't have a LED light and I'm learning to live without it. The plastic case is light and it doesn't feel like there is much need for it--they could've easily made it at least 1mm smaller in width and thickness. I haven't tested it yet, but in daily file transfers it is faster than my old OCZ Mini-kart 1GB drive. Shiny plastic colored top scratches easily, if you care about that kind of thing.
no problems here
Pros: over 3,000 pictures taken with my Nikon D40 and no problems whatsoever, fast read/write (haven't measured it), definitely fast enough to keep up with my camera's continuous shooting mode
Cons: none
Overall Review: great price and reliable brand, I have three A-DATA cards and haven't had any problems with any of them
The only media I use
Pros: This is the only CD-R media I will use. Very low coaster rate...about 1 every 400 discs. Excellent burn speed and great matte surface for writing on with Sharpie.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Newegg as always has excellent service. This cakebox was well protected in the cardboard box. Other e-tailers I've order from just throw the cakebox in with paper resulting in a broken cakebox.
