Modular PC P&C PSU with overhead fan!!! lol

PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKIII Series 600 Watt 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular Active PFC Industrial Grade ATX PC Power Supply (PPCMK3S600)
PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKIII Series 600 Watt 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular Active PFC Industrial Grade ATX PC Power Supply (PPCMK3S600)

Pros: Modular White Good regulation Quiet Packaging 1 of 2 EPS 12V is modular. no unused cables hanging inside case Power Factor = .98 to 1.00 (Only my server grade PSU can match this)

Cons: OCZ rebate process only 5 modular cables and 6 jacks???

Overall Review: PC Power and Cooling Modular PSU without a rear 80mm fan?! Wow! It is white too!!! I knew I had to get one the moment I saw this thing. The quality is top notch for it's price range. The packing material is identical to other high end PC P&C units and this one comes with a sporty cloth bag for the PSU and one for the cables. Nice! I actually measured the rails with a voltmeter and all measurement comes with 1-2%. The only thing bad is OCZ rebate process. I was rejected because OCZ made a mistake in their system. Some dates were entered incorrectly and I was ripped off $20. But overall, this unit is very good value and I highly recommend it.

Gets boring very quickly

Dead Island PC Game
Dead Island PC Game

Pros: Good graphics Experience system ability to build custom weapons Would have been a great game if done right

Cons: the first 30 minutes was great and went downhill very quickly after. Zombies are boring to kill and re-spawn too quickly You don't want to use anything else other than kick. I don't mind the repetitive missions but still a very boring game. Driving control sucks.

Overall Review: This game is broken. The auto save feature doesn't work and corrupted my saves more than once. bad bad bad.

No longer work after 2 months

ASUS (USB-N10) wireless-N USB Adapter (150Mbps Transmit / 150Mbps Receive) with fast USB2.0 Interface, software WPS Button Support
ASUS (USB-N10) wireless-N USB Adapter (150Mbps Transmit / 150Mbps Receive) with fast USB2.0 Interface, software WPS Button Support

Pros: Works flawless for 2 months

Cons: slow connection runs hot stop working reliabliy after 2 months

Overall Review: this unit runs hot very quickly. it would not send/receive data once it reaches a threshold temperature. My solution is to use a usb extension cable and tape the unit outside the case's exhaust fan opening to cool it down. it works reliably thereafter.

Worth 1 or 2 eggs

XFX Radeon HD 6570 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card HD-657X-ZDF2
XFX Radeon HD 6570 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Graphics Card HD-657X-ZDF2

Pros: everything HD6xxx has: DX11, 3D ready, HDMI out...

Cons: Price (if you know what you're really getting) 64bit memory interface instead of 128 4 RoPs instead of 8 667 MHz stock memory clock Memory bandwidth = 10.7GB/s ??!!!!

Overall Review: This card deserves a 1 or 2 egg rating. This product is a total ripoff and there is no research can prepare you until you install the card and read the numbers off GPU-z that you realized you have been had. With these numbers, the card is only about 50% as powerful as a regular HD6570 at best. When did ATI started to engage in shady business practice like nvidia? $10 more can get you HD6670, a card 3 times the performance.

Why AMD?

AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX
AMD FX-8320 - FX-8000 Series Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Desktop Processor - FD8320FRHKBOX

Pros: Not sure if price is a pro in this case considering you have to buy an after market heatsink for adequate cooling.

Cons: Price is about the same as Intel platform if electric bill is taken into account for a 3 year operation.

Overall Review: I am not a fanboy of any type. The reality is Intel is a better option today. It is faster, produces less heat and more energy efficient than AMD. You can also run SLI on Intel boards too. An intel system may be slightly more expensive, but after a few years, electric bill is more than enough to cover any difference in price and you have a more powerful and reliable system.

AMD fanboy = sour grapes

Intel Core i7-3770K - Core i7 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Intel HD Graphics 4000 Desktop Processor - BX80637I73770K

Pros: Better than anything AMD has to offer

Cons: AMD fans bashing it.

Overall Review: Look at the comment by misterbigg. Typical of people coming from the AMD camp. Don't get me wrong, I have myself an A-series HTPC, but I would never buy a FX-8xxx using common sense alone. I have this 3770k and it has been great, fast, cool, overclocakble and stable I cannot imagine there are a few people agree with the hater misterbigg. How is AMD always better? What objective proof is there? It is merely personal favorites and not facts. After a couple years, electric bill is enough to cover the price difference between an Intel and an AMD system.
